Diversifying your idea ; this is ideally should be after creating your book/idea outline it will help since you should focus on tweaking the details. Here is a few things you should consider changing ;
Change the format to express ideas ; for example have a chapter start with poetry and an allusion or a board concept to prepare the readers for the ideas. Have an interview segment with the idol of a character , therapy session with one of the characters to reveal inner struggles.
Get mysterious ; add intrigue by foreshadowing certain events by a quote , symbolism to show how the events will go and don't reveal everything. Ex: it is was bizarre when I heard clicking sounds from my bed after falling asleep.
Give insight ; reveal personal experiences to add vulnerability to the story either something you experienced yourself or others
Give reference ; relate a popular food/culture/movie to how you view it in your life ; ( everybody loves chocolate until they are allergic to it )
Add humor and drama ; reveal the thought process of characters and how different they are (irony) and common social phoneemens that happens today
Give multiple perspectives ; challenge your thinking to reveal how a incident unravels in many characters's point view ( build a reputation of a character through others , then slowly unravel what they where going through )
Get deep ; show an authentic story you have gone through revealing how you went through that event with which mindset and how it made you grow as a person
Change the pacing ; learn to space out each event in your writing by increasing or decreasing the pacing to add more intugine and to enhance the tone. Ex ; having a slow paced funeral to see the process of grief for the widow wife
