Dreams of the past

This will be a different type of chapter. This is a chapter of present Gyutaro having a dream about the past, well to be more precisely You. So let's get started shall we?

"Where am I?" I called out as I looked around the black void.
No answer...
I felt uneasy for some reason. Like I wasn't supposed to be here.

Then the scene in front of me changed. It was a village. I looked around at the houses. I felt as If I had seen them before but I couldn't pinpoint why.

"Gyutaro!"
Someone called making me turn around.
"Is something the matter Gyutaro? You look like you've seen a yokai."(I don't know if that's how you spell it)

This girl... She reminds me of someone...
Who?
"Who are you?"
I asked.
The girl giggled.
Why?
"I'm your best friend, (Y/n). Did you hit your head or something? You seem really off."
"No.. But seriously.. I can't remember who you are."
I said making the girl tear up.

Wait... I didn't realize until now.

I'M STANDING IN THE SUN!

I started to panic for a moment.
I'm not burning up!
HOW?!
"Gyutaro? Earth to Gyutaro!"
The girls voice snapped me back to reality. Well whatever this is.

"Tell me.. What year is it?"
This will help me!
There must be another person named Gyutaro.
"It's 1812. Why do you ask?"

A hundred years ago... Wait is this the year I became a demon?

So this must be a, friend?

Then the scene changed back into the black void like place.

The same girl was in front of me this time she looked like...
Lower moon 1?

"Why did you and Ume leave? Why Gyutaro, Why?"
Tears were streaming down her face.
"We promised we would stay together no matter what! So why...?"
She continued looking down at the ground.

"I... I don't remember. I didn't make a promise to anyone."
I said coldly turning away to walk away.

"GYUTARO!"
She called out.

I ignored her and kept walking until I heard the sound of footsteps coming towards me in a fast pace and a weight on my back.

"Taro... I'm sorry I couldn't protect you and Ume.. Because of me... Ume was killed and you disappeared..."
She whispered.

I shoved her of me.
"You know nothing!"

"Your weak. I'm strong!"

"I don't know you! I don't know anyone named Ume!"

I screamed at the woman in front of me.
I was so mad that she pretended to know me.

I shot up from my futon.

"It was just a dream..." I whispered.

I didn't even realize I was crying until I felt the drops hitting my hand.

"(Y/n)... Who are you really..?"
