HMS Incomparable never reached the planning phase in our world but in this story will her story be told in the new world of Azur Lane! She will have to do whatever she can to protect her friends and try to survive in the new world thats under attack...
On their way back to the base Incomparable gets to know Javelin and Norfolk a little by talking with eachother. But Warspite and KGV stay silent for most of the trip except when they needed to change course. But after one and a half hours of sailing they reach the massive port of the new Azur lane base. Incomparable can barely comprehend how massive and beautifull the base is. The summer warmth and breze that comes down from the mountain creates the perfect weather. Flower beds can be seen high on the mountain sides and seabirds gliding in the wind high in the sky. But when she lowers her view from the large mountains surrounding the port she notice all the stares shes getting from the other shipgirls at the port. She can see them talking to eachother and pointing at her which embarrases her.
KGV: Follow me, i'll show you to your docking area. But be careful when your turning the ship so you dont hit anything.
KGV and Warspite turn right towards several larger docking areas while Norfolk and Javelin turn left for their ports. Incomparable follow slowly behind Warspite's ship and then carefully docks with her ship barely having any more space left.
When the ship has anchored she jumps over to the dock and is met by KGV and another person that looks very similiar to KGV. KGV tells the person about Incomparable and she smiles while giving a small nod towards Incomparable. Incomparable responds with a smile and nod before they start walking.
Wales: My name is Prince of Wales (Wales). I heard you're the new ship we found, Incomparable if im correct?
Incomparable: Yes, you are correct. Where are we going may I ask?
KGV: We are going to meet her majesty. So refrain from speaking if you're not given permission. Understood?
Incomparable: Understood!
Incomparable responds nervously.
They keep walking through the streets and past all the interesting shops. Small cafés and resturants appearing from time to time. And then they arrive to a very majestic palace. They all walk in and then walk through countless corridors until they reach a large doupledoor. Wales walk up to the door and open both doors before going in together KGV and Incomparable.
The room is very large both in width and hight and up on an high throne sits a relatively small girl. Incomparable wonders why the girl is sitting on such a throne but when KGV and Wales kneels she feels very confused on what to do. So she just bows slightly since the little person infront of her probably is someone important. But it cant be the majesty KGV talked about earlier, right?
???: Wales. King George, you can both stand up.
Wales and KGV both stand up and bow slightly.
???: And now you. What is your name?
Incomparable: Eh? U-um im HMS Incomparable, miss.
The little girl seems very irritated at this with a small pout.
???: Incomparable huh? So you're saying you are better than me?
Incomparable: Huh? N-no I didn't say anything like that. It's just my name, miss.
???: And why are you saying "miss" all the time? Im the great Queen Elizabeth! Show some respect.
Incomparable: oh, im so sorry your majesty!
Incomparable bows deeply as an excuse.
Queen Elizabeth: Mhm you know how to respect your superiors. I'll give you that.
Queen Elizabeth (QE) then looks at KGV.
QE: So what should we now do with this new member?
KGV: I think Wales has already planned that.
KGV and QE switch their attention to Wales who stand straight with confidence.
Wales: I was thinking of viewing her capabilities and then give her a place in our navy acording to her best use. Wether it be an own task force or together with one of our main fleets.
QE: Very well. You may now leave.
The trio leave the throne room and right when the doors close Incomparable let out a big sigh. She do a little stretch after being so tensed up and nervous.
Incomparable: So what now? You said you would do some tests with me or something to see what you should do with me, right?
Wales: Yes, I believe we can start right away. But before we start with the practical tests, do you have any information about your capabilities? Like on paper? That way ill get more information.
Incomparable: Yes, I had actually several information papers and reports back in my ship so we can go get them.
Wales: Sounds good.
Timeskip to Wales work office.
Incomparable: Here you go!
Incomparable lays a small bunt of papers on Wales desk. Wales then gesture Incomparable to sit down on the sofa next to her desk with a table in front. Incomparable sits down and makes herselft comfortable when suddenly a maid with a tray, tea and cups open the door. She puts down her tray with the tea and cups on the table in front of Incomparable. She then pours two cups of warm tea. She hands one to Incomparable and then the second one to Wales before leaving without a word.

After 15 minutes have Wales read through all the papers throroughly and now turn to Incomparable who is looking through one of the rooms windows.
Wales: So, You have a large 20-Inch armament, high speed and torpedoes suprisingly but outdated targeting equipment and AA deffences. The armor is also quite weak which means it will be quite easy to damage you. Now in what situation do you think you would be best suited for?
Incomparable turns back to KGV and sits down on a chair in front of her desk.
Incomparable: I think as an backline ship supporting the fleet by shelling enemy capital ships and outmaneuvering them with my speed. But then my escort would only be destroyers and maybe a light cruiser because of my speed. That is though risky because of my weak armor. Thats why a more supportive role would be better because I would then hopefully not be the target of enemy fire since im being protected by the rest of the fleet.
Wales: Correct. I was thinking the same thing. So we will probably put you in our main fleet instead of deploying you in the mediterranean. That would though be quite easy thanks to your excelent range of around 24,000 nautical miles at a speed of 19 knots. (44,000 km - 28,000 mi)
Wales put down the papers and then rose from her chair.
Wales: Well we cant just expect you to perform a certain way just because of your statistics. So we should do some practical tests so that I can determine if and what you need to improve on.
The both of them leave the office and start to walk towards the traning area of the base.
I think thats enough for this chapter. I hope you guys have enjoyed the story so far. This story is something im doing mostly for fun and entertainment so some days I might not feel like writing. But im fairly motivated right now so I'll keep writing new chapters for atleast a week or so. So, see you guys later!
