Alianna woke up in a perfectly white room. Shortly after she had awaken there was a knock on the door. It was Idina and her best friend Nicole that had died of childhood cancer when they were young.
"OH MY GOD NICOLE ITS YOU!" Alianna screamed. After everything with Eric today, Alianna need this. "but, how could this be?" She wondered. Nicole died over 8 years ago. "wait, how?" Alianna asked confusedly. "Am I dead?"
"you were," Idina said. "For about, 5 minutes. "But God couldn't let Bella and Payson grow up without a mom."
"Where are we now?" Alianna asked.
"The Half Way point," Nicole answered. "You're just unconscious at the moment."
Everything started to come full circle for Alianna. "D-Dee," she stuttered, tears filling her cyan colored eyes. "why weren't you out here with me?"
"I'm sorry Alianna but my injuries were too severe. Isabelle pulled a knife on me." Idina replied.
Alianna was in shock. "b-but, Idina, you're all I have! What about James? What about Walker? WHAT ABOUT ME?!?!"
"I'm sorry Alianna but it's out of my control." Idina sighed.
Alianna noticed that she started to fade. "A-Am I waking up?" She asked.
"Yes Ali." Nicole smiled. "Good luck out there. They caught Izzy and she's in jail but Eric's still out there."
Idina walked up to Alianna and gave her one last hug. "Look, Al. I know it's gonna be hard. But I need you to be strong, for me. Tell James and Walker I love them."
Alianna nodded and smiled through the tears. "I will Dee. I love you."
"I love you too." She smiled.
"Bye Al!" Nicole said.
and then Alianna woke up.
She was in a hospital bed and the monitors were going crazy.
"Wha-? OW!" she said trying to speak.
"He broke 3 of your ribs." a tearyeyed James said from the corner.
"Oh..James. I'm so sorry about Dee!" Alianna cried. Of all people, James didn't deserve to lose a wife, Walker didn't deserve to lose a mom, NO ONE deserved to lose Idina.
"It's okay Al." James said smiling through the tears. "she died a heroic death."
"She died to save me." Alianna said, the realization evident in her tone of voice.
"Yeah. She was amazing." James replied.
In that moment, Alianna vowed that she would be there for James and Walker however possible. She still needed to leave New York, for Eric was still out there. Most likely looking for her. But James and Walker deserved someone. And that someone was gonna be her.
"Hey James?" Alianna asked.
"Yeah?"
"When I get out of the hospital, do you and Walker wanna come to Nashville with me? I obviously can't stay here."
James was taken aback. "A-Al. I'd love to."
