"Okay, I get that, but how am I supposed to tell her? She's Aubryee, for god's sake!" I heard Joshie's voice through his closed bedroom door. He seemed to be on the phone with someone. I cracked the door open to hear what he was saying.
"Bu- Babe! Hi!" he said nervously as he hung up the phone and tossed it on his bed.
"What do you not know how to tell me? How much you... love me?" I questioned cheerfully as I sat on his lap. He looked uncomfortable and lifted me off of him with no effort at all and set me next to him.
"Listen, Aubryee, there's something I need to talk to you about."
"Okay, what's up? Did you get into Notre Dame without telling me? Joshy, is that what this is about?"
"No. Actually, this is about us."
"What's the matter, Joshie? Did I do something wrong?"
"No, it's not you, it's me."
"You could never do anything wrong, Joshee!"
"Oh my god, Aubryee!" He lashed out. "I'm breaking up with you! That's what I've been trying to tell you for weeks!"
My eyes teared up as I suddenly stood and stormed out the door.
Justin POV
Well okay then.
My phone started ringing again. It was playing Solar Power by Lorde.
Blink three times when you feel it kickin in that so-oh~oh~oh~ oh-lar pow-
"Hey! Did you do it?"
"Yea."
"How'd she react?"
"Just like you said she would. It's ridiculous how well you predicted that." I laughed. I heard the giggle of the person on the other line. It made my heart flutter. "Wanna meet up for coffee?"
"No." They scoffed.
"Why!"
"Because Aubryee just stormed through the front door of the coffee shop."
"Good luck, soldier." I jokingly spoke, saluting to my empty room.
"Thanks, Josh." I heard them smile over the phone. "Love you."
-end call-
