The walk to my house was indeed and undoubtedly scary. Even humming a song made the song that was happy and cheerful seem creepier. As my legs took me to my destination, a twig snapped from behind. At first, I decided it would be best to ignore it but when I heard multiple twigs snapping so I thought it would be best if I picked up my pace. When I heard the twigs snapping eventually turn into footsteps nearing, I went into a full-blown run.

Somehow I got lost yet again and ended up at Spellman's Mortuary. Panting, just as I turned around, my suspicions were right, no one was there. It was probably just my paranoia.

"Hey there, stranger" Snapping my head around, Ambrose's smile dropped. "What happened to you? You look like you ran"

"I thought..." I calmed my rugged and even breathing and straightened up, "I thought someone was chasing me".

"What?" He looked genuinely concerned as he looked around the area.

"But no one was, I'm just really paranoid these days, especially if I'm walking in the dark"

"Here, come on in, I'll give you a glass of water, you look exhausted" He offered his hand.

"Oh, no, it's fine-"

"Ambrose!" A distant, familiar voice yelled. Our heads turned in the direction of the voice. "Ambrose!" It was Sabrina.

"Sabrina!" He yelled as the girl comes running towards us.

"Ambrose!"

"Sabrina?" I questioned. The girl was all dirty and was in a short lace nightgown. My eyes widened when a bunch of people were walking towards the house.

Ambrose pushed me behind him.

"You won't— You won't believe what happened." She panted. "Cora?"

"I think, I can guess cousin" He pointed behind her, to the group of people marching towards us with flame torches in their hands. "Behind you"

"What the hell?" I whispered.

"Cora" Ambrose turned to me and gripped my shoulders. He cupped my face so I was looking at him. "Listen to me. Go inside and do not come back out, okay?"

"Ambrose, Sabrina, what-"

"While the blood moon still shines, you must sign the Book of the Beast." I looked up to see the moon was red due to the eclipse before looking at the man who was holding the book.

"I will not. There is another path for me, just as there was for my mother and father. A third way. And even if there isn't, my name is Sabrina Spellman, and I will not sign it away!" My breath hitches as I take a step back.

The man closes the book shut and the noise echoes in the night, startling the man in front of me, causing him to flinch. The man with the book walks forward including the people following him.

Ambrose stumbles forward and raises his hands, "A circle of protection rings this house!" this makes all of them stop in their tracks. "And no person I want may cross it. Any unwelcome witch or mortal that tries shall burn! So please, go ahead" He yelled. This made all of them walk away except two women who walked towards the house.

"When did you put a protection on the house?" Sabrina asked.

"I didn't. Though I should probably start" Ambrose grabbed my wrist and dragged me inside with him.

My breath started to pick up as he left me to go up the stairs.

"Come on, love, let me brew you some tea. You look quite shaken up" An English woman takes me to the dining room and sits me down on the chair.
