it had been hours now.
actual hours not just the lifetimes in kris' head.
he checked his watch when they'd opened the second bottle. 2:48. almost 3 hours ago they had coffee, now they were halfway through the second bottle.

the silence was completely gone, the conversations flowed with the alcohol. it had been 3 hours and kris was actually really enjoying himself.

he was on the floor, a sight to see really. what normally was a nervous wreck in a man's body was now sitting on the floor, propped up against a glass coffee table. his jacket was laying on the floor next to him, unfolded and creasing. he didn't care, a stark contrast to the sober kris, who would have put it on a hanger before even thinking about anything else.

"hey i have an idea" said brian. he was lounging on the orange couch. kris really didn't mind it anymore.

"let's hear it" kris straighten himself up a bit as he spoke.

"we should play a game, like truth or dare or something" brian rested his elbows on his knees and leaned down to look at the man on his living room floor. "man when is the last time you played truth or dare.."

"truth or dare sucks, everyone always picks dare so they don't seem lame and then no one can come up with anything" kris laid back onto the tile, leaving his glass on the table and spreading his arms.

"yeah that's fair. what about never have i ever? you drink when you have" brian took a sip of wine and looked at kris.

"alright" kris lifted himself off the floor "i haven't done like anything though" he grabbed his glass from the coffee table and sat on the couch, facing brian.

"okay i'll start, uhhh.. never have i ever.. failed a class" brian asked before taking a long sip of his wine.

"like i said, i haven't done like anything." kris crossed his legs over each other and sat cross legged on the couch.

"well now you've given me a mission" brian smiled

"i mean you can try to find something i guess"

"never have i ever had alcohol before the legal drinking age" brian took a small sip and stared at kris

he smiled and shook his head

"um.. never have i ever shoplifted" his stare intensified as he took an even smaller sip.

"nope." kris said smiling "unlike you, im not a criminal"

"okay but not even like one time?"

he laughed "like i said, not a criminal" kris drank most of the wine left in his glass "look you have one last shot"

"wait, okay let me think never have i ever..." brian scowled, deep in thought, "never have i ever kissed a guy..?" he finished his drink and placed the glass on the coffee table.

kris could've sworn brian could hear his rapid heart beat. normally kris would've said no and laughed at the question, normally he would've denied even the thought. this however, was not normally.

without thinking much kris threw himself onto brian. glass still in hand, he wrapped his arms around brians neck, their mouths crashed into each other clumsily. brian kissed back, it was passionate and desperate, like kris were air and he couldn't breathe. kris pulled away, out of breath, he quickly downed what was left in his glass and put it on the coffee table. it stumbled and knocked over them both. didn't bother brian much apparently as he turned kris back around and leaned back in. the desperation intensified when their lips met. kris wrapped his arms back around brians neck as his lips parted. he leaned back into the couch, bringing brian down with him.

this definitely wasn't normally.
