kris looks at the homeowner,
brian looks back.
the air was thick with tension, they'd just met the day before. kris had come to sell brian's house, the tension had been there of course, but not like this. brian asked kris to come back the next day, "i'll have to think about selling" he said.

kris could've given up, but that's not the type of businessman he was, he didn't give up easily, he was soon to find out neither did brian.

kris knocked on the door and waited, suddenly self-conscious. he fixed his hair rapidly, though it didn't do much, for his appearance or his nerves. after what seemed like an eternity, brian finally opened the door.
his hair was dripping wet with a towel wrapped around his neck and his shirt looked off center, like he put in on in a hurry. the smaller man blushed, he didn't expect to see brian in such a state. brian noticed, "oh i'm sorry, i just got out of the shower when i heard you knock" he stepped back to let kris in. "sit down i'll make coffee."
brian left the doorway and went inside.

kris had a thought, for a tiny fleeting moment, that he could run- that he should run. give up on 2611 5th ave N. and it's entrancing owner. he could find a new property to buy, there were plenty of places he could invest, without continuing doing whatever the hell he was doing with this guy. without exploring the chemistry he felt. the thought lasted a small moment before he walked in after the handsome man.

kris was determined to see this to its end.
