after being with the boys as trainees for a few months, it was sadly time to go back to LA with my mom.
as much as i didn't want to leave them, especially my brother, it all turned out ok. mostly because i got to comeback almost two years later for their debut!

unfortunately i wasn't able to come to their debut stage with my mom because of my own schooling. but i did get to stay over the summer! this was almost 7 years ago and it's still one of my favorite memories with them.
"josh~!" i yelled outside the door of their apartment. seconds later the door swung open and i was engulfed in a hug by my older brother. "i'm so proud of you!"
"i missed you so much." he mumbled into our hug. we've never been apart, really.
"everyone! aeji's here!" seungkwan yelled to the rest of the boys after he noticed josh and i's hug.
i let go of josh, immediately hugging seungkwan "hi boo!"
"yahhh! everyone wants to say hi to aeji! don't hog her!" chan complained to seungkwan, as i noticed the line of boys forming.
chan's comment made me giggle as i hugged each of the boys one by one.
"aeji! did you see the finished choreography?! isn't it really cool?" soonyoung, now hoshi, asked me as i hugged him.
"yes!! i loved it!" i replied, knowing he'd shown me throughout all of his thought process.
greeting all of the 13 boys one by one took longer than i would of predicted, with hansol at the very end of the line.
his arms wrapped around my waist and hugged me tightly, making my face heat up as i wrapped my arms around his neck to hug him back.
"hansol!" i giggled, feeling him not let go of me.
"aeji-ahhhh! i missed you!"
hansol, now vernon, and i texted everyday since i left. besides my own brother, i think i had gotten the closest to him. i found myself drawn to him all the time.
"we have to go to our stage now! everyone in the van!" seungcheol yelled out to the group, grabbing bags upon bags while the others helped him.
in the van i sat in the back with josh, vernon, and mingyu.
"here, take these." josh said as he handed me a mask and a pair of sunglasses. "put these on when we get out of the van."
that car ride was, chaotic, to say the least. but hey, what can you expect with seventeen?
we pulled up to the venue about a half hour later. josh and mingyu put me in between them while they were walking in, using their height advantage to shield me.
