After a week of my attempted new lifestyle, things were looking up. Still, no one at school would talk to me, but it was second semester; I could survive with Davey. I thought, maybe, I could try to regain Jen as a friend. The way she looked at me, I was a raggedy old doll and she was a Barbie. My social status no longer met her needs; I didn't mind. I hadn't talked to Brad in a week; it made me wonder where we then stood. He, too, decided it was wrong for the star football player to be seen with a nobody, but It didn't hurt me like it would've three months ago.
After a while, Davey introduced me to his best friends who accepted me immediately as if they never knew who I was before. With them, I am me. I am the new Madeline Vogue. As for my family, we are doing great. No more fights for the Vogue's, only the occasional bickering. My life is as if my fall never happened. My life is a new kind of extraordinary.
