Few maids were passing by the corridor when they saw Padmavija lying on the ground stabbed. She was whimpering in pain, as her hand held on the the blood-oozing wound.

"Rajkumari !" They panicked going towards her.

They picked Padmavija up and took her to the Raj-vaid, and then went onto inform Padmavati, who came running to see her daughter's condition.

"Padmavija ! Open your eyes ! Dear please !" Padmavati cried holding her hand.

At that moment Dusshala and Kalyani also came in. They gasped seeing Padmavija like this.

"Who did this ?" Dusshala asked.

"We don't know Maharani, but we found this dagger with with Rajkumari was stabbed." The maids said.

They showed the bloody dagger kept on the tray. Seeing its handle, Dusshala's breath hitched.

"M-Maharaj ?" She muttered.

"My ladies, you all need to leave from here. The treatment will be hindered be with your presence." The Raj-vaid said.

"No ! No.... I will not leave my daughter alone in this condition...." Padmavati sobbed.

"Bhabhishree, come with us outside. Let the Raj-vaid treat Padmavija." Dusshala said.

"No Dusshala, I cannot leave my daughter alone like this... She needs me." Padmavati said.

"Rani-maa, Padmavija will be alright very soon. Have faith in Narayan and come." Kalyani said.

She held the shoulders of Padmavati, making her stand up. She kept looking at her daughter as she walked out with Dusshala and Kalyani.

"I cannot believe Maharaj did this..." Dusshala said, once they reached outside.

"Maharaj did this ?" Kalyani frowned.

"The dagger belonged to him." Dusshala said.

"But why would he stab his own niece ?" Kalyani asked.

Padmavati looked at them both and lowered her gaze, it would be the best if the truth is now told, the truth for which Padmavija risked her life.

"I have to tell you something." Padmavati said wiping her tears.

"What Bhabhishree ?" Dusshala asked.

"Agnimitra wasn't always like this. He was kind, benevolent and respectful like Swargiya Maharaj Agnihotra. I could always see my Arya's image in him, he was just like his elder brother. And therefore when he died, I had hope that everything will be fine because Agnimitra was there for all us." Padmavati said.

"I am unable to believe this...." Dusshala muttered.

"Me too." Kalyani said.

"But it is the truth. I have raised Agnimitra since he was 13, trust me. He was courageous, valorous and soft-hearted." Padmavati said.

"Then what happened ?" Dusshala asked.

"What turned his heart to stone ?" Kalyani asked.

"My one mistake." Padmavati said.
