Start writing I, y/n, live in the woods with my parents and two step siblings with a baby brother on the way. I am the oldest daughter they have and it's be a tragedy if I go missing. Since I live near by to my relatives , I always brought homemade food made by me. I'm known as the best baker in my town, and known a legend for the best peach brittle in my state. Since my best friend is sick, I want to bring some peach brittle over. She lives farther away, a mile walk. It is a bit dangerous to walk that far since there has been rumors of criminals in my area lately, but it's probably fake. I told my mom I'm going to bring some peach brittle to my friend, Ali. My mom, Lilli, was freaking out only because I was waking alone through the woods, oh, so "scary.." "Mom, I am 18 years old, please it'll be fine, I'll stay safe." My mom finally decided to let me go and I was really happy. I started making the peach brittle. Oh, the smell of peaches makes my mouth water!

After a long hour of waiting, I finally finished baking the brittle, and it smelled amazing. The whole house had a faint scent of peach from making the brittle. "It smells so good!" I exclaimed. I cut out a small chunk for Ali, about 8" x 12". I decided to keep the rest for myself and my family. I slipped on a coat and boots, then told mom and my siblings I was leaving. "Bye hunny, be safe!" Mom said from across the house. "I will don't worry, bye!" I exited the house and always admired the vines and vivid green color of the leaves from the trees. It's astonishing how they stay green all year around. I unhooked my horse, Rose. She's a full grown Clydesdale Horse, eight years old and healthy as she'll ever be. I live her so much. I put on a saddle and take off in the woods with a trotting pace. I visit the animals too, they seem to know I am no harm to them, as if the understand me. I kept riding rose until I crossed the overpass with Rose. I see my friends mom in the yard watering flowers and I wave over. She waved back and greets me kindly. "Do you mind if I tie my horse to this pole?" I asked. "Sure, go ahead!" She replied. Ali's mom is always the sweetest! I tied up Rose and thanked her for letting me visit. "Oh, Ali! Where are youuuu..." my voice wandered on. "N/n?" She asked surprised. "Yeah, that's me now come out wherever you are!!" I said loudly. She wandered around the corner from her bedroom and asked, "Can I give you a hug, since I'm sick?" "Go ahead, Ali. If I get sick, oh well!" I chuckled. Ali hugged me and took the peach brittle from me. "I sense it, peach brittle, am I right?" she questioned. "Yep, you got me!" She put it in the fridge and we went to her room.
(Time skip: Y/n and Ali talked for a long time, and y/n stayed over for dinner too. They get along really well and y/n is about to leave)
"Thanks for having me over! Take care!" "Y/n, dear, you can stay over if you want." Ali's mom said. "No, no! It's ok! I already told my mom I'm coming home." I said and waved off. Rose trotted about halfway home, but sensed something and stopped. "Hey, Rose, keep moving!" I whisper-shouted. She neighed at me and wouldn't move. I didn't understand why she wouldn't move but had to be a reason. I understood, turns out those rumors were true. Three criminals coming from behind and both sides near me. I moved faster than the speed of light up a tree and boot kicked Rose to go. She neighed at me and went. Those people, I've seen them before... but I can't exactly remember where... The memory was vague and all was blurry from what I know. I thought hard while still watching the criminals every move. I went into almost a meditation state and remembered, remembered the day that they came and took away my 2 oldest brothers. They could be dead or alive, nobody knows... haven't seen them since I was 11.
I was sitting in the tree wondering what to do. I was shaking a bit and was panicking inside but couldn't show that because it'd make me more vulnerable to the criminals. I took and deep breath in a exhaled out slowly to calm myself. I threw my leg up on a branch higher up to have more time to come up with a plan. I wanted to call 911, but I don't know what those guys had up to plan. I texted my hotline number and gave them my location to come and save me from these criminals. I kept climbing and looking down to make sure they weren't following me and they weren't. It was worse; they had a gun pointed at me, all three of them did. They said "If you make a single move, you're getting shot." I freaked out. They eventually put their guns down knowing I was not going anywhere.
Police were on their way and I had no way of escaping at this point. I kind of just sat on the branch not knowing what to do. I heard sirens from a distance and a slight smile came upon my face. One of the guys reloaded the gun again. A look of fear came across my face and the gun clicked. The tallest one of the three, the one who clicked the gun, pointed it at me again. I was even more scared, he could shot me any minute now. I took a deep breath in and exhaled out slowly. The siren sound got louder and louder which made me happy inside. The guy shot the gun on rapid fire and I panicked. I dodged a few of the bullets until one shot me. Just below my rib cage and right above my knee. I was crying in pain but I did not make a sound, just silent. Blood was oozing out of my body, and I was starting to feel lightheaded and dizzy. The sirens were close, but not here yet. I was about to pass out when all the sudden someone grabbed me off the branch and got me out of the tree. It wasn't a police or anyone , it some guy who looked older than me, but not one of the criminals. I was conscious enough to get a glimpse of his face, then I fainted.(1147 words)
