After Remnant is destroyed, the Remainder of WBY and their friends and family are sent to a new world, where they find someone who they though was lost, and she tells them her story of how she became champion(Not cannon to my other Pokemon Series!)
Ruby asked some people about the journal, and they said they knew nothing of Mewtwo. She decided to leave it for now, and head to the gym. It was there, she was brought with a challenge.
