For months I had been crying myself to sleep except I needed to sleep tonight, Tonight of all nights I wanted to sleep, I was starting at my new school tomorrow, Canyon high was a private school for rich, perfect preppy kids to attend though I was rich i was not preppy or 'perfect'. I moved into this town about a month and a half ago since it was Summer break and I was starting my new school joining at the same time as everyone else which I was relieved about.

I sat up in bed checking my phone for the time |6.45am| I  sent my streaks to my best friend Amber and opened Spotify I put on my favourite song infinity by James Young "Gunna make this last forever don't tell me it's impossible" I sang hopping into the shower and turning down the heat "Blimey i never have it that warm why is it so bloody hot?" I question myself and wash the shampoo out of my hair. I reach for my towel off the radiator and turn off the shower. I checked my phone,|7.00am| Right i had to leave the house in 30 minutes, I ran out of the bathroom and into my bedroom and blow dried my long brown hair, I finished my hair and makeup and got out of my towel and into my outfit for the day I settled on a white skirt with a black strappy dress over the top and some tights. I added a belt and my shoes and grabbed my bag which I had prepared the night before.

I ran down my spiral staircase nearly slipping on the hard oak steps as i reached the cold marble floor at the bottom "Good morning Faye" My mum said "Morning Mum" I replied trying to get rid of the anxious knot in my stomach "Are you excited about your first day" She asked handing me my lunch in a clear plastic tub" Yep I'm so excited, Thanks for the pasta" I lied. I grabbed a banana and ran out the large glass door "Bye mum!" I said slamming it behind me.

I started walking down the road while texting my best friend Amber Smith

Hey are you excited!?

-Me-

No i'm absolutely dreading it, but I'm nearly at the bus stop now i'll text you later!

I approached the bus stop, looking down at my shoes I heard a large group of people aproaching me I had never been the social type and I had suffered with Anxiety since I was 10 after my menal health took a turn for the worst. It still was pretty bad and I just wish I didn't have to deal with these things, I was now 16 i had been suffering with my anxiety for 6 years of my life yet it never got any easier about anything so starting a new school meant I was super on edge.

The bus pulled up and a load of people around my age jammed on, I tapped my bus card and walked to the back of the bus trying not to pushed to the ground by a herd of angsty year 7s "My god that was a lot more hectic than it should've been" I mumble taking a seat by the window a few rows from the back. I was scrolling on TikTok with my headphones in for about 10 minutes when the bus stopped and everybody started to flee out so I suspected I should get off here, I grabbed my bag from the footwell and got off the bus, I had only eaten a banana this morning so I was starving by the time i had got to school.

I reached into my bag and grabbed a few pieces of gum and popped them in my mouth "That'll have to do for now." I said as I reached the gates to the school "Here I go" I stepped into the school gates and walked up the gravel path until I saw a sign that read 'Reception' I figured I'd go that was to get my timetable for the day and my locker key.

I opened the large red doors and entered the reception a breeze of cold air followed behind me, The door slammed viciously making people turn their heads to look at me. I just smiled trying not to be awkward and walked to the front desk "Hello, My name is Faye Wilson I'm starting today" I said smiling at the grumpy old man sitting in front of the desk "Alright 'ere ya go love" He passed me an envelope with my locker key and timetable along with a map "Thank you" I said as I picked up my bag and walked through the sliding doors into the school. I turned right following my map as I had maths first and the maths classrooms were on the right side of the school.

 Suddenly I bumped into someone "So sorry" I said quickly "Watch it-" He snapped "Sorry, I was just in a rush to get to my class, I'm new and don't want to be late" I frantically explain, The boy was at least 6'1 and he had fluffy brown hair and gorgeous green eyes, I quickly realised I was staring at him and looked away quickly  "Don't worry it's fine just don't do it again" He breaks the silence as his friends come out of the classroom he came from "Come on man" One yells he nods and marches off down the hall with his friends.

 "My god that was embarrassing" I laugh at myself being so stupid and arrive outside my maths class. -DING DING DING- Aha right on time i entered the classroom and took an empty seat from the back of the classroom. "Good morning class" He said "I'm sure we have a new student joining us called Faye so to introduce myself I'm Mr. Shaw and I'm your maths teacher" he said smiling at me. I smiled back politely and sat up in my seat trying to ignore the fact everyone was staring straight at me. "This is gonna be a long day" I mumbled copying down the work off the whiteboard and chewing my gum discretely.

After maths was English and after English was break where I sat alone on a bench texting Amber and eating a packet of gummy bears, after the bell went for the next lesson I wondered if I would ever see the boy from the hall again I shook it off and walked into my art class. I looked around the room at the colourful walls and artwork everywhere as the teacher came over to greet me "Hello, Hello, Welcome" She said, She looked kind of kooky and had her platinum blonde hair up in a bun with a flowery headpiece. "Hello, Lovely to meet you I'm Faye" I introduce myself, She shows me to my desk and I take a seat noticing the empty chair next to me, After 2 minutes the bell goes off the rest of the students come in, I notice the same boy I bumped into coming my way "Hunter your sitting next to Faye today I don't want you sat next to Mason" The teacher said so the boys name was Hunter, That's kind of, cute. No stop It Faye, snap out of it he's going to sit next to you"

 Hey your the one who bumped into me right?" He said in his calming tone I had heard earlier that day "Yeah, Sorry again about that" I said awkwardly and carried on sketching in my art book "No its honestly fine don't worry" he says smiling, He looks a lot more intimidating compared to how soft and calming his voice . After another half an hour of just sketching and the occasion smile to one another Hunter looks up at me "Do you have snapchat?" He asks "yeah its Georgiashergz" A/N this is my snap loll Add me besties ;) "I'll add you back later" He smiles -DING DING DING- the bell rang and we both packed up our bags and headed to next lesson and lesson after that then it was finally time to go home. I grabbed my bag after History which had by far been the worst of the day and headed back out the gates and towards the bus stop. As I was waiting at the bus stop my phone got a snapchat notification.
