In the previous chapter you can see how the narrator's changed. If you didn't notice, to notice it would be the size of the gap between the paragraphs. Another thing I would like to address is the pronunciation of the names. I may have spelled them differently from what they would usually be but this is because of the culture.
• Laila - (Lay-Luh)
•Keona - (Key-Own-Uh) *This is a Hawaiian name so it is pronounced as so.
•Kekoa - (Key-Coe-Uh) *Whose name will not be mention until later in the story.
•Seawn - (Say-An)
•Sienna - (See- Anna)
Thank you for reading.

"So you sold all four yesterday?" The man asked. Laila sighed and nodded her head.
"This is the third time you asked man. I told you the first two times that we sold all four yesterday." All eyes were on Laila who was silently beginning to catch an attitude. The man raised his brow and walked over to Laila. He stood directly in front of her and stared into her eyes. She took this as a challenge. So she to raised her left eyebrow and stared him in his eyes.
"You remind me of somebody that I used to know." He whispered. "What's your mothers name." Everyone in the room watched on. As much as the man hated to admit. He was actually intimidated by this young girl.
Laila rolled her eyes at the mention of her mothers name. This made the man chuckle. "I don't know what her name is, don't even know what she looks like. And I don't care. What about her." The man walked back to his seat behind his desk.
"Nothing major. So Drake and Laila. Am I right?" The man asked. This time Drake and Laila nodded. "I see. So brother and sister?"
Keona giggled. "Daddy. No."
Drake smiled. He always liked Laila but he wouldn't let it ruin their friendship.
"Oh you're a couple?" The man asked trying again.
"Best friends actually." Drake corrected. The man nodded and smiled.
"I see. So Keona tells me you want to join Kala. You understand that joining The Kala, you will not be able to leave so easily. " The man spoke waving his fingers at the three men behind us. "I am Kekoa. But you will refer to me as K.L. Lets make this snappy shall we. We'll make your initiation quick and painless. I have some boys over near Crestbury. They owe me a couple hundreds. Since yall are Best friends you will be partners as well. Now they will give yall some heat. " he said pointing the guys who walked in with two glocks. Drake grinned nodding his head and rubbing his hands together. "Get my money. Or kill them." One guy handed them each a glock.
Laila decided it was time to ask the obvious question. "How in the hell do we even know what they look like?" K.L grimaced.
"You're right. How about I ride with you and you do the job." He stated. Laila nodded. Together Drake, Laila and K.L. walked to the car and got in. Laila couldn't help but feel terrible but she wasn't going to turn back now. She secretly hoped those boys had K.L's money because if they didn't She or Drake would be forced to kill them. She didn't want it to come down to that, but she needed this money. Once K.L started the car he immediately pulled off. Drake and Laila studied the way to Crestbury. They've never been there, so they only knew of it, they had never been over there before mostly because if you were from Berk you could get killed over in Crestbury. It was the same thing as being from Crestbury wandering in Berk. It was an immediate death sentence. Nobody had any other reason to be over there Any way. Berk and Crestbury were enemies, that's the way it is, that's the way its always been. Looking at the beat up and run down buildings in the projects made Laila think about where she would end up after college. After this "mission" she would official be a gang member and she already qualifies as a drug dealer, but what could she do. Times are hard and people need money.
"There they go right there!" K.L shouted interrupting Laila's private thoughts. "That's them. Now get out there and make me proud."
I was the closest to the door so I was the first to get out. I straightened out my disheveled clothing while Laila slowly emerged from the car sighing. I sent a quick smile of encouragement in her direction receiving a small nod in return. "You good Lay?" I asked. I know she was a little bit nervous because I was nervous. I mean if these cats don't have his money its curtains. I'm not gonna blow this , money is needed.
"Yeah. I'm good, lets get this over with." She shook her head with every step. Her facial expression hardened and she slouched her back abit. I assumed she was getting into character. We strode over to two guys leaned up against an abandoned building. One guy looked about 20 years old while the other one looked like he could be somebodies great uncle. One was smoking while the other rolled a joint. I cleared my throat to get their attention. "Yo."
"Wassup? Yall tryna buy?" The older guy asked flicking the cigarette.
"Alright lets cut the bull. Yall owe K.L some money. We're here to get it back." I spat cutting the old guy off.
"Now you can either pay with money or your life. Your choice." Laila pulled out her gun and clicked the lock off. In about three swift moves the younger guy swung at Laila and hit her face, he took off running down the street. I knew this pissed Laila off because she mumbled a curse word. Without hesitation I whipped my gun out and sent some into his back. He fell to the ground.
"All you had to do was pay man!" The older guy said. Quick fast and in a hurry the man pulled a wad of cash out. "I was gonna come over there. But I value my life too much." He handed the wad to Laila. She smirked.
"How much is that?" Laila asked looking down the street to the gut who still laid sprawled out on the ground.
The guy scratched his head and cleared his throat. "Bout Fie hunned." I chuckled.
"You got any kids ?" Laila asked.
"Nah." He said shaking his head. Laila nodded and tightened her lips. She swiftly pulled the trigger on her gun. She giggled.
"You took too long fucker." She said putting it back in her side bag.
"You cursed twice. " I said as we walked back to the car. "You know that? Right?"
I opened the door so she could slide in and I followed suit. K.l turned around from his seat with a sinister smile on his face.
"I like you two." He said looking between us back and forth. Laila tossed the wad of cash at him and scoffed. "You better." She mumbled barely audible. "And why'd you kill the older guy?"
"Because he was taking to long to give us the money. Who has time to waste? Nobody." She shouted a little bit.
" Lower your tone young lady." K.L shouted.
"What am I your daughter?" She asked scoffing again. He chuckled shaking his head. He mumbled some incoherent words and pulled off. Something about a lady. I couldn't hear it clearly, all I know is Laila just killed. And so did I.

*Hey I'm not in any gangs and I have no idea how they operate. These things are just a figment of my imagination.... Which sucks by the way. But just a side note I don't know what goes on in gangs so if these events don't seem realistic enough... Kindly let me know.
