Can't Stay Hidden

Temptation

I have just arrived at my dad's house for dinner. I am sitting in the car and for some reason, I'm scared to go in. I love my dad but I have always been closer with my mom and recently my dad has been prioritizing his relationships over me and my siblings. I have no problem with him and JLO but I feel bad for my mom. I sit in the car for a few minutes and wonder if my dad is gonna ask me questions about my date with Sandy, the media had been filled with it this morning. I just pray he doesn't ask and dinner goes smoothly.

I enter the house and am immediately greeted by my brother Sam jumping onto me which makes me stumble backward before I catch my balance and wrap my arms around him. Making him giggle as he wraps himself around me like a bear.

"Hey buddy, crazy thought, but did you miss me?" I ask him with a huge smile on my face that I can't help, given his warming reaction to seeing me after a week. He just hugs me tighter, warming my heart.

He finally says "Yes, Sera and Vi are always on their phones and they won't go outside and play with me like you do."

"Well, why don't you and I have a sibling day and you can come to Mom's and we can do whatever you want."

"That would be awesome!!! Can we have ice cream for breakfast?" He says while I hear the sound of people coming down the stairs and look up to see my sisters and Jen's kids. I put him down and walk over and give everyone a hug. You guys all sit on the couch and start talking and laughing. My sisters continue to bug me about working with Timmy as he has been one of their celebrity crushes forever and they are super jealous that I get to work with him.

About 30 minutes go by and I hear the sound of the garage opening. Jen and my dad had been at the store getting stuff for dinner when I arrived. Jen and my dad come in and I stand up to help them with the groceries. I hug my dad and he ruffles my hair and says "Hey kid, we've missed you around here." He has ruffled your hair since you were little and while you would hate it if anyone else did it there is something comforting about it.

"I missed you too Dad." I let go of him and immediately give Jen a quick hug.

"So, how has work been?" My dad asks as I help them put the groceries away.

"Great, we're getting pretty close to wrapping up on set and I have some really cool partnerships and stuff coming up in the future."

"That's awesome sweetie. What type of partnerships are they?" Jen asks me

"Well the one I'm most excited about is Calvin Klein, they want me to be an ambassador for them and I'm so excited to do photoshoots and go to fashion shows because I absolutely adore that stuff. Then, BMW wants me to be their ambassador which is so cool because I love my M5 and BMW makes some really cool cars. I mean dad you know how fast my car can go."

My dad laughs thinking of the times that you guys have raced which is definitely something my mom would not approve of. "That is absolutely awesome, try to get them to have me as an ambassador then we could race or something." He says causing Jen to roll her eyes.

"Okay, dad but I'm pretty sure I can beat an old man like you." I say while laughing as he puts his hand over his chest faking like I just shot him. "Anyways, I have a few other deals but none as exciting as those two, I have one with Dior and then I got invited to some fashion shows and film festivals."

"I'm proud of you Y/N, you're really doing an amazing job and I know you're gonna make it big. Bigger than I have, you'll make my career look pathetic because you are absolutely incredible and belong on that screen." My dad says making me stand up and hug him.

It's Friday and the rest of my dinner with my dad had gone well. I had asked my siblings if they had wanted to go on set with me and they said yes and were planning on going with me next week.
