Escape The Dead

Chapter 15 ~Last Chapter~

Lia POV 

We were all were so excited and happy that the zombie apocalypse is finally gonna come to an end, the government had decided to take all the survivors in helicopters and start bombing the country as the virus had spread among the entire country. I was extremely to hear the news. The bodyguards of the president lead us to the helicopters all the one after the other everyone boarded the helicopters. I was about to go on when one of the guards stopped me from entering "Sorry ma'am you will have to go to the second helicopter." I nod and started to walk towards the second helicopter when suddenly about 13 zombies came out from nowhere and started to attack us. I quickly rushed inside and pulled Aria inside with two other kids. Astonished and scared we all sat in a corner. A woman jumped up and said, "My son he is still out there!" We tried to calm her down and she replied "You all don't know how it feels I want my son back." Everyone started to think this woman has gone nuts and just left her crying and sobbing. I asked the kids who I pulled inside earlier "Are you guys alright are you hurt anywhere?"  they all nodded no. Soon I went to the lady who went nuts looking for her son "Excuse me ?" I stammered and asked. "Get away from me," she replied. "No, I- I would want to know if your son-." she did not let me complete and said something I did not expect to hear "He's already a zombie they have lied to us." I asked her again "What do you mean they have lied to you who has lied to us?" She smirks and said "My son was a scientist and he was working on a huge project that was meant to be a cure for every disease but turned out they had made a chemical that was first tested on my son and he started to act like an animal or more like a bloodthirsty zombie and was sent for tests. This all happened three years ago and turns out they were trying to kill the enemies but beforehand, it backfired and turned it into an epidemic." I was shocked but asked, "Then why were you asking to bring your son inside the helicopter?" She lets out a chuckle and said something that never would make any sense to anyone "If my son and I can't live a happy life  no one can." I left her and went back to Aria after the bombing our homeland had only ruins of cities that were once bright with light and skeletons of the zombies. They started to work on building and making the country come alive again. 

~FEW YEARS LATER~

Lia POV 

It has been years since the zombie epidemic and I am currently in the last year of college Liam has graduated while Drake is in high school and so is Aria. We all are really happy with our lives and Liam has also decided to move in with us. 

End of Lia POV

Drake POV 

Tonight is a really special night for me. I finally found the girl of my dreams. I am gonna ask her out tonight I am nervous but it's a worth shot. I still am not over the fact that my parents are not here present with me on such a happy occasion and sometimes the bad apocalypse days haunt me but putting those aside life has its ups and downs but we have to keep making memories and enjoying it.
