Naomi's P.O.V
It's 6 in the morning and I was the only one awake, which is strange for a 5 year old girl to do. Sighing, I sat back and thought about what my parents must have been like been like. I wonder if its my fault that they died or they died of natural causes? I know what you're wondering 'how does a girl at such a young age know about death and dying of natural causes?' Well I have a very developed vocabulary for my age. Anyways, a cool breeze brushed against my skin, I glanced at the window and noticed that it was closed. I looked around the dark room thinking that maybe someone was trying to mess with my head, but I didn't see anything. Since I didn't see anybody, I decided to lay back down and rest my eyes. After about five minutes, I began to feel as if someone or something was breathing on my face. My eyes immediately shot open and I stared into a pair of red eyes. Being the curious child that I am, I reached out to touch the person and they flinched.
"Don't do that," a guy with red hair whispered whilst shaking his head, causing his red hair to bounce. I sat up and attempted to reach for him again, but he grabbed my hand and repeated what he said. I tilted my head, confused as to who this kid was, considering that I've never seen him before.
"Who are you," I whispered.
"You don't know?"
"No....I don't."
"Well, my dear, I'm Satan."
"You don't look like Satan...."
"Trust me. I'm Satan."
I glared at the boy and he smiled. This kid doesn't seem like he's Satan, maybe he's just another kid trying to mess with me.
"OK, look, do you want me to prove to you that I'm Satan?"
"That would be nice."
He looked around to see if anybody else was watching, then he motioned for me to come closer. As I was moving closer, he blew into his hand and when he opened it, in the palm of his hand was a ball of fire and with a swipe of his hand a image of a strange place appeared.
"What's that place?"
The shock on his face and the look in his eyes told me what he really wanted to say. Instead, he simply replied, "Hell." My eyes widened with shock.
"You see, when a soul turns bad it goes here and I help my father contain them so they don't escape into your world."
"Cool, but, I still don't believe that you're Satan."
"What?! Oh come on! Do you want me to bring a soul here or something?"
"A soul would be cool."
"Damn you're a stubborn little girl."
And with that he disappeared into the floor. Cool. Within seconds he returned with a girl that looked as if she'd seen a ghost.
"This," he said gesturing to the girl, is Noka. She was once a beautiful Armenian Princess. But, she got beside herself causing her soul to turn bad. So, when she died she came to me and my father and that's where she remains for eternity. Now do you believe I'm Satan?"
I nodded, not trusting my voice.
"Good."
He then snapped his fingers and Noka disappeared into the floor with an ear wrenching scream. I scooted towards the edge of my bed and let my feet dangle over the edge and Satan sat beside me.
"So, Satan-"
"Just call me Trey."
"Okay?? Anyways....why are you here?"
"Well, even thought I'm the Devil's spawn, I do have a heart. So, I'm here to make your wildest dreams come true!"
"Oh goodie!"
"Under one condition, you have to be my daughter."
"What?! Why?!"
Satan, I mean Trey lowered his head.
"Because it gets lonely down there not having a real living, breathing person to love or hold. I just want to experience happiness for once in my life."
Honestly, I felt sorry for the guy. I mean, I'm guessing its not east being a Devil's spawn. Everyone thinking that you're a monster and having everyone be afraid of you isn't easy. I pondered on the 'deal' for a moment. Deciphering the Pros and Cons of the subject....and I came to a conclusion.
"What do I have to do? Do I have to live with you or....?"
"Well, you can stay here in your realm and I'll just watch over you and visit you......like a dark angel and if you want anything from me I'll give it to you. Cool?"
"Yeah. Okay. I'll be your daughter and you can be my dad."
"Oka-"
Just then Aiyanna, one of the other kids in the dorm, started to stir in her bed. I tugged on Trey's shirt and pushed him to the floor on the opposite side of my bed.
"Naomi, why are you up," she asked while rubbing her eyes, "It's so early."
"I had a bad dream and couldn't go back to sleep," I lied.
"Okay," she said, then turned over and went back to sleep.
"Shows how much she really cares," I mumbled.
I looked over the edge of the bed to see if Trey was alright. He was lying face down on the floor. I nudged him with my foot and he groaned.
"Why? Just tell me that..."
"I didn't want Aiyanna seeing you and freak out. I'm sorry if I hurt you."
I helped him off the floor and he sat on my bed. Maybe, I should kiss his cheek and give him a hug.. I walked towards him and kissed him on his cheek. Then I hugged him, burring my nose into the side of his neck, taking in his scent. Ahh, he smells like a fire on a cold winter night. He hesitantly wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me into him. I pulled back from him and noticed that he was blushing. I pointed out that he was blushing, which made his cheeks redden even more, which made me smile.
I yawned and laid my head on Trey's shoulder. He picked me up and laid down on my bed.
"Thank you," I whispered into his ear, I fell asleep wrapped in his warm embrace and pressed against his chest.
