" Clara. No! " The Doctor yelled jumping forward and shoving us both into the hard, cold concrete. The lights flashed everywhere practically blinding me along with deafening robotic screams of 'EXTERMINATE!' from the Daleks. One thing was obvious.
" Doctor we need to get out of here! " I shouted desperately, hoping he could hear me.
He paused, looking around him as if time had frozen.
" We need a plan! "" Yes a plan, but we need to get out of here first. " I insisted. The fact we were in the middle of a battlefield all centered towards us didn't even seem to phase him.
He grabbed my hand and we ran into the safety of the TARDIS. I gasped with relief leaning against the walls whilst The Doctor paced around before finally seemingly thinking of a plan.
"What is it? " I asked him, recognizing the look on his face.
" Ha ha! A plan! Of course. " He answered grinning looking very chuffed with himself.
" You have a plan then? "
" Yes I definitely have a plan. "
Rule one, The Doctor lies.
" What's the plan Doctor? " I pursued seeing his eyes lit with excitement, his brilliant mind working away.
" Clara, I need you to remember something. " He implied suddenly looking much more serious.
" What do I need to remember? " I questioned slightly confused. It seemed really important, so what was it?
" You. "
" Me..? Why? "
" Promise me Clara. "
" Doctor what's going on? "
" Promise me. " He instructed holding me by my shoulders and forcing me to look in his eyes.
" Okay, I promise. But you can't leave me in the dark. Tell me what's going on! "
" You'll just have to trust me this time. "
" This time? "
" Yeah, all the other times too but this time especially. "
" Right I trust you, don't let me down. "
" I'll try not to. "
" Okay. " I breathed knowing I had to rely on him. " Are we going now? "
" Yes, yes we're going now. " He confirmed running out of the TARDIS, I quickly followed. As soon as I got out of the safety of the blue box, I was struck by a jet of light that met me with the ground. I hit hard, my head slapping against the concrete, grown wet from the sky that rained down on us. So this was it? The end of me?
" CLARA! " He shouted running over to me. I knew it was him but I could only see a blurry figure. " Clara, my Clara... "
" It's okay, " I mumbled softly, closing my eyes. " Maybe this was just a dream after all. Maybe I'm waking... Waking up. "
The Doctor said something after that. I couldn't hear him though. If I could then I chose not to hear it, whatever it was.
