IT'S LIKE BEING A STRING
THAT WAS CUT IN HALF,
BROKEN AND UNUSABLE.
I CAN'T LOOK
AT PEOPLE WITHOUT
FEELING ANYTHING.
I CAN'T FORM
CONNECTIONS.
WHEN I GET HURT,
MY FEELINGS INSTANTLY
TURN COLD.
WHEN I TRY TO
FALL IN LOVE,
ALL I FEEL IS HOLLOW.
I TRY TO OPEN UP
BUT I'M AFRAID OF BEING HURT.
I'M SCARED
OF BEING TOSSED ASIDE.
IT'S WHY
MY EMOTIONS
HAVE DISAPPEARED.
IT'S WHY I HIDE,
TUCKED AWAY IN MY CORNER
WHERE NO ONE
CAN HURT ME.
