𝕿he day.

Our day- Reg and Ara.

12th May, 1981, our forever.

"Rose, Rose, you're getting married today" Someone called softly, waking me up from my slumber. I hummed, stirring around until my eyes shot wide open. Fuck. I was getting married today, to my Regulus. My star. The girls giggled at my reaction, squealing. I think they were a bit excited.

"I can't wait to see the dress" Lily sang, beaming at me, the others mirroring her expression. I couldn't wait to my wear my dress, the one I designed myself. I wanted their reactions, everyone's reactions. Regulus' reaction when I walked down the aisle, because that's the first time i'll see him today.

I glanced over to the window, sighing in relief. Clear, sunny sky, a fresh Spring morning just the way we had planned. Tom and a few death eaters had been setting the whole thing up, the girls and I took a look last night and it was perfect, everything I dreamed of for my wedding. And it was happening today, I was actually getting married today.

"The ceremony is at two, the boys coming over at twelve and we need plenty of time to get you and all if us ready. We should probably start around half ten" Marlene announced, to which I nodded.

"It's around half eight now"

"Breakfast then?"

"Sounds good to me"

The group of us left the bedroom we had all stayed in, sharing three huge beds between us. Marlene and Dorcas in one, Lily and Alice in another, Mary and I in the last one. We all wanted to be together last night, like a small bridal party. Entering the meeting room, Tom was sat there as usual, a platter of all different kinds of breakfasts in the middle of the table, pancakes, waffles, berries, all different kinds of fruits and drinks. They all thanked him, tucking in to the food he provided.

"How are you feeling?" He questioned me, handing my routine coffee into my hold.

"Good, actually very excited" I corrected, watching a smile etch its way on to his face. Butterflies fluttered in my stomach, just from the thought of how the day was going to go, I'm positive it's going to be the best day of my life.

"You're not nervous?" Lily inquired, eating a pancake. This is what I had talked to Regulus about the day before, I'm not nervous to get married to him. It's all we've wanted for a while, i'm more thrilled the day is actually here.

"No, not really"

"That's okay" Tom said softly, noticing my frown. Was I supposed to be nervous? "You're not supposed to be nervous, everyone's different"

"When you do that, I have reasons to believe you are reading my mind" I commented, the words that came out of his mouth being the exact same as my thoughts.
