The rest of the water group had become rather unfortunately lost, all they really recognised were trees but everything seemed to blur together as they became more dehydrated, long finishing the little water they had accumulated only hours ago. Was it hours ago? All of them had long lost any sense of time they may have had. The leader of the group, a young Italian man with the quaint name of Angelo Di Antonio. He was a rather proud person at the simple of age of nineteen, he was the one who had begun the break in the water group originally. He would never lose to someone who was a year younger than him and Yao's easy rebellion against him had fueled the rage inside him so that it became a blazing fire. He stomped forward, turning his head every way, trying to figure out where he was. The teens who followed him were younger and so, they had easily accepted him, the oldest, as their leader though he was the one that got them into this mess in the first place, he frowned as he stumbled on a branch. It seemed to be getting darker as he moved along.
He looked up but he couldn't seem to see the sun through the thick canopy of trees. He trudged forward, hoping to end up on the other side of the forest sometime soon, they had been going in one direction for quite some time, it was getting a bit tedious to just keep walking on and on, Angelo had quite attentive hearing so the stick cracking was definitely a warning to him. He froze, he twisted around to see if any of his accompaniment had stepped on it, he was sourly disappointed to see none of them haven't, though that could mean there was somebody nearby, Angelo took the chance and sucked in a breath, there were only small animals on this island so he couldn't go wrong.

"Anybody there?!"

The air grew heavy, it was tense, nobody wanted to move first. For the first time, Angelo regretted splitting up with Yao. He would've probably moved first and taken control of the group. Angelo's breathing quickened as a dark shadow moved across the little light they had, it was very obviously some sort of creature but it couldn't be human. The shadow was on all fours, large formations jutted from what Angelo suspected was his head and another jutted out from it's back. Angelo flinched as a quiet yelp was heard. He stopped breathing as he heard what had happened, tearing flesh was quietly audible from in the bushes, one of the girls had stood there. Angelo's heart raced as he thought of what it could be, another quiet scream was heard though it didn't last long. There was something out there and it was hungry.

"Run."

The words left Angelo's mouth quietly before he began to sprint, dodging trees here and there. More and more of his group were getting dragged away by the... creatures in the woods. Angelo looked back, he wished he hadn't. A large, dark form was dragging a limp body of one of the males, his neck was snapped and his head twisted around, his blood sprayed the trees, Angelo stared at the creature, long, thick antlers came from it's head and it pulled the boy along by the hand, his hands was clutched between teeth as sharp as razors and it's eyes were a dark, cold brown. It's hooves smacked the ground with quiet thumps as the boy's body was dragged through the leaves, a small trail of blood followed him as it dripped from his hand. Angelo was terrified, he couldn't move. He stared at the creature and was horrified as it began shredding the boy with it's teeth, blood dropped from it's mouth as it looked up at Angelo, the rest of the group had continued running but Angelo couldn't move, his heart thumped loudly as he tried to tell his body to move, he watched as the creature approached, it seemed like a deer but... no deer could cause this much damage. Angelo choked down a sound of fear as the terrifying creature approached him, it scrutinised him, it's nostrils flared as it picked up his scent but he couldn't seem to see him. That was when Angelo made the mistake of speaking.

"It's blind..."

The deer pounced on him and Angelo let out a loud scream before his neck was snapped and he was dead, he was horribly mutilated by the deer, it chewed at his lifeless body, ripping away chunks of flesh with a loud rip. It then moved on, being full.
