Chapter 8

Mia POV
Friday was finally here and I decided against going to school as most of the day we wouldn't be doing in class except catching up on work as fridays were always catch up days for most teachers. Chilling in bed it was around 8am I decided to take a nap when I loud knock sounded on my door groaning I trugged down the steps another knock came "I'm coming hold you fucking horses" swinging the door open I saw Zake "your not even ready yet" he pushed me aside walking in "I figured you'd be at school and we'd be starting the fun full day after" closing the door I saw him looking around. "Nice house no I said push everything aside past and present that meant school is not longer in the day" he looked at me clapping his hand "go go get ready we have stuff to do!" He started pushing me up the stairs when he saw I wasn't moving laughing I walked up. Leading him to my room "sit down I'll get dressed make yourself at home" he plopped down on my bed looking around "fairy lights" I nodded going threw my dresser finding a white loose tank top with some blank flower and skull design on it and some ripped shorts as it was hot outside "ohhh bring your bathing suit to" I turned around looking at him questioningly "we're going to the beach dummy and your wasting time" he got up pushing me into the bathroom "hurry up" he said closing the door I just shook my head there wasn't a beach around here the nearest one it like two hours away I think last time I went to the beach I was little to fucked up to remember much I just remember tripping over at the bar stand and busting my lip open.

No past Mia no past! I repeated to myself as I got dressed walking out I grabbed my bathing suit out of my closet turning around seeing Zakes eyes quickly look up "really you dog" I fake gasped he mock laughed at me "let's go" he got up walking into the hall way laughing I went to go pick up my phone till I thought fuck it todays a day to forget everything I don't need everyone texting me especially my mom so I left it on my nightstand heading down stairs I put on my shoes Zake was waiting by the door. Getting up he smiled at "let's do this shit!" Laughing I followed him out the door.

Getting in his car and buckling up I put my feet on his dash he looked like he wanted to something but didn't "here I want to see what kind of music you listen to" he handing me his phone as he pulled out I decided to go with something to get us into a carefree mood so I put on a song that always lifts my spirits I put on 5 seconds of summer she's so perfect laughing he said "really 5 seconds of summer" I just nodded enjoying the song smiling at him "and how do you know who they are" he quickly looked back the road "ah no secrets I'm adding that to this carefree day!" "Fine I may or may not listen to some of their song especially this one but I didn't peg you to like this type of music" I smiling nodding my head "well I do" turning it up I rolled down the window letting my hair become a mess in the wind.

We arrived at a dinner in a different town in about an hour it was a pretty small dinner very retro looking honestly somewhere a girl who tired to hard to be edgy would like to go just to take pictures, "you ready to have some really good food?" Zake asked "This place looks cool how did you find it its in a different town a pretty slum town at that" i asked as we got out and walked up to the door. "Sunny wanted to take instgram pictures here once so i went in to get some food while she and her friends took pictures been coming here ever since" he shrugged. The waitress showed us to the table "Ill be back in a mintue to take your drink order" she smiled at us turning to walk away "you should try their milkshakes their really good" "i might" i smirked at him.

Looking over the drink menu i decided on the strawberry milkshake "So you guys decided yet" nodding Zake said the chocolate and peanut butter milkshake i told her my order "be back with those and to take your food orders in a jiffy" she walked away when Zake turned to me "strawberry really? never pegged you for such a bore" Zake chuckled i kicked him under the table laughing "i wish i had a boring life but honestly under it all i am boring or at least thats what i strive to be, when i grow old i want the boring like no kids maybe not even a husband or wife just a dog and maybe a cat to and a nice apartment or house just something with a nice view" he smiled.
