(TRIGGER WARNING)
Troye Sivan was popular.
He was handsome.
He had a boyfriend.
His family was rich.
His life seemed perfect.
But was it really?
No, of course it wasn't.
Every morning, he put on a fake smile.
Every morning, he skipped breakfast lunch and dinner.
Every morning, he reminded himself that he was worthless. And he never would be "it".
His dad was a drug addict.
His mother died of drunk driving.
His brother abused alcohol.
His sister was a perfectionist,
and him himself was nothing.
He stood in front of the mirror, pointing out every flaw.
His reflection stared back into his ocean blue eyes, unamused at what it saw.
His stomach wasn't flat enough.
His skin wasn't smooth enough.
His scars were ugly.
His thigh gap wasn't wide enough.
And his face wasn't handsome enough.
At school he faked it.
He faked the smile.
He faked the confidence.
He faked every element of a popular boy.
And it worked.
At Los Angles High School, he was the it boy everyone thought he was everything despite the fact he was gay.
School was easy enough.
He intimidated almost everyone, although he wasn't sure why.
His posy; including Tyler Oakley, Korey Kuhl and of course his boyfriend, Connor Franta were clueless.
Everyday at school he seemed fine
But at home, Troye was a mess.
His after school routine included slamming his bedroom door, sobbing behind the safety of the lock.
He wrote in his diary. Everything he felt, everything that happened to him.
He cut himself to relieve the pain of the world.
His sleeves hid the scars perfectly.
One day, he cut too deep.
He lost too much blood.
Then he finally got what he wanted,it was all over all gone
In the morning Connor came over and found him lying on the bathroom floor. Connor started sobbing so much he couldn't breathe. Troye's father and brother were both under the influence of drugs and alcohol.
Connor immediately called 911, crying.
Paramedics rushed in, pushing him out of the way.
Troye's body was taken from the house, rolled into an ambulance.
Off to the hospital he went.
Connor found a box hidden but not hidden enough to not notice he pulled it out,
Blades and pills and a gun covered a brown notebook.
He pulled it out.
