Raven didn't know what to do, all her life she was told to be the evil queen. It was what everyone expected from her, she was ostracized, talked about, feared without any real reason. She was supposed to be the evil queen, but she wasn't.

Raven was far to kind, it wasn't ever about would or want it was that she couldn't be the evil queen. No matter how hard she tried it was against her very nature. All she ever wanted was to have a chance, a single opportunity to be herself.

But no one wanted that, so she ran. In hind sight it probably wasn't the best choice but with everything bottled up from her entire life plus the more pressure of legacy day looming. She only had one escape in the form of her best friend who somehow made everything better, but due to a certain princess that was taken from her.

Nearing her breaking point of Grim and Apple breathing down her neck, enforcing her to sign that stupid book. Plus the now limited time with Maddie, Raven did the only thing her very emotionally wrecked mind could think of and she ran.

Running deep into the forest not caring where she went as long as she was far away from that school.

By time Raven came to a stop the mid day sun had became a early night moon. Looking around Raven realized how lost she truly was.

Raven: "Where is this place?" She asks herself as she examines the ruins.

The ruins that Raven ended up at wasn't like an actual building as there was no sign of a roof or enclosed walls. It was a circle with pillars building to the back where there was a small wall. The pillars and wall have long been crumbled. There was vines, moss, and weeds over grown and sprawling all over the place. There was a braiser that was in the center that now laid on the grown buried in weeds. Walking closer Raven found a trace of a shattered mirror that hanged on the wall, the frame now on the ground a part of the plants now as it was covered in them. The glass shattered and spread around the area.

Raven looked around until she saw a little glimmer, walking towards it Raven bent down and picked up a small object that was hidden in the grass.

It was a small black key, the bow was a circle with a faded emblem on it that Raven couldn't make out in this light. But there was a distinct tiny dark blue gem near the center that looking at it Raven could feel power emanate from it. Raven could swear she saw something slowly shift within the gem. The shaft was straight until it was near the collar where it then bent down making the key look broken. The collar itself was sharp and somewhat resembled a crown, the throating had some engraved designs on it feeling it she could feel a heart design on each side. The pin was normal, there were three bits one made a sharp point that own being the first. The middle one was a rectangle that had serrations in the sides, and the last one was wiggly.

Raven thought about dropping the key and leaving it since it was broken, but something in her maybe her curiosity told her to keep it. So he held it in her hand as she turned around and walked back to the school.

After a bit she made it to her dorm to see Apple sitting up waiting on her bed.

Apple: "There you are Raven! Do you know how worried I was?" She cried desperately.

Raven: "You were worried?" She asked shocked.

Raven took off her shoes and walked to her bed and lied down.

Apple: "Of course I was! With your question during rehearsal about not wanting to sign and then leaving, of course I would be worried! I thought you ran off?!"

Raven: (of course that is what she was worried about.) she thought in exhaustion. "I don't want to sign Apple...... I don't want to be the evil queen!" Raven confessed.

Looking over Raven saw the expression Apple held, Apple looked as if Raven just killed her.

Apple: "You have to so I can have my happily ever after!" She cried.

Raven: "Yeah you get to live happily ever after and I have to suffer!" Raven shot back.

Apple: "That's because that is how it's supposed to be! You are the bad guy I am the good guy! You have a bad ending and I have a good one! I need you to sign so I can have my happily ever after! You have to!" With that Apple huffs angrily and pulls her covers up turning off her light not letting the conversation continue. But before going to bed she told Raven "You are only being selfish, you want me to suffer so you can be happy. We have no choice on who we are so stop throwing a tantrum and accept it."

Apple then went to sleep.

Raven couldn't sleep the argument flying through her head on repeat. Raven was brought out of it when something fell out of her hand onto the bed. Sitting up Raven grabbed the key.

Raven: (Oh yeah the key! How did I forget about this?) Raven questioned herself.

After sitting and examining the key for a bit Raven got up and walked to her door. She felt as if something was telling her to do this, it was a strange feeling. Her body was moving and she felt like she was in control, no one was controlling her and she could stop at any time but at the same time it feels like someone is moving her body.

Grabbing the door knob Raven went to put the crooked key into the lock knowing nothing would happen.

To Raven's surprise the key slipped in easily, after a minute or two Raven turned the key and an audible clock was heard. Raven felt a pulse surge from the door lightly shaking the room, the gem seemed to glow brightly nearly blinding the young witch. Light beams shot from the hole as a thick light green smoke came gushing from the bottom. It never roses or moved to far but it was endlessly pumping in. To Raven's surprise there wasn't a peep from her room mate nor could she hear anyone waking up.

Grabbing the door knob Raven carefully opened it and slowly pulled the door open.

Raven gave a soft gasp as she wasn't met with the sight of the hallway but instead the door frame was outlined with that weird smoke and on the other side was what appeared to be an office of sorts.

Stepping though it Raven heard a swirl and turned around to see the portal gone. Panicking Raven quickly turned trying to find a way out of this weird room.

Until she heard.

???: "Ooohhh~, a new student? How exciting!!!"
