Not too many years later, Hua Cheng became known as Crimson Rain Sought Flower and the ultimate Ghost King.
Wang Yu became known as Silver Moon at Dusk and came close in second place as the Ghost Queen.
The two ruled with Xiao Yu by their side, and managed Ghost City for the next few hundred years.
Until one day, Hua Cheng leaves.
Xiao Yu is panicking about where he could've gone, but to his dismay, Wang Yu is calm as ever.
"Off to find his crown prince," she replied calmly.
"Then what do we do?!" Xiao Yu exclaimed.
"What else? We stay here and relax, you can drink if you want," she suggests.
"But what about the city?!"
"We can handle it," Wang Yu said.
"Weren't you going to find Lin Xiu as well?!
The woman froze, "I suppose I could, but I think we should wait a while."
Xiao Yu sighed, "Alright."
Wang Yu played with her hair, "Xiao Yu-er, do you think it would be a good idea if I cut my hair?"
"I don't know, maybe," Xiao Yu shrugged.
Wang Yu nodded before putting her index and middle finger to her temple, "Hong-er, what is it?"
"I found him," Hua Cheng replied.
That was all it took for Wang Yu to stand up, "I'm coming." She grabbed her spear and said, "Xiao Yu-er, I'll be back soon, if you need any help ask Yin Yu."
With those simple words she turned into a crow and flew away, Xiao Yu crying out behind her, "Wait!"
Wang Yu arrived at a grassy field where she saw her brother fighting with a martial god. She turned back into human form and saw more martial and civil gods standing back. A barrier stopping them from escaping.
Among them was a man, a man named Jin Li. He was a martial arts god, loved by all, but who knew he'd be the start of a tragic story.
Wang Yu turned back into her normal form and walked towards the barrier, she knocked on it, "Anybody home?" She asked teasingly.
The gods all turned to her in fear, "You-you're Wang Yu!"
The woman nodded, "Finally to have someone recognize me!" She directed these words to her brother who glanced at her. "Alright, I'm here for one person and one person only. The rest of you can go fuck yourselves."
The gods were baffled by her vulgar language, they had never met a woman who spoke such way.
At that moment, Jin Li recognized her, "You were my sister's wife."
Wang Yu smiled wickedly, "We got ourselves a winner!" She passed through the barrier like it was nothing and walked up to him, "I wonder what your soul will taste like."
Wang Yu was also known as the Spirit Catcher. Her victims were not only killed or destroyed, but she would eat their souls as a way to replenish her energy.
Jin Li shivered in fear and took his sword out, "Don't come closer!"
She didn't respond, but simply grabbed the tip of his sword and pushed it down, "Now, now, that isn't the way you treat your sister in law, is it?"
The man backed up slowly, "What do you want?!"
Wang Yu scoffed, "What do I want? I want for you to suffer," she walked closer, "I want you to feel the pain you put my wife in. I want you do slowly feel yourself dying once again, and to be gone for good this time."
By the time she had finished speaking she had Jin Li up against the barrier. She pushed him out and created a separate barrier around them, "Now stop being wuss and fight me!" She took her spear and pointed it towards the man.
Jin Li took his sword up again and ran forward with a yell. His blow was blocked by a simple turn of the wrist.
He continued to attack the best he could but was shocked when the woman blocked and beat his every move.
He knew he was good. He was a martial god after all. But he never that the Ghost Queen would be this good too.
In the end he was defeated with a spear to his neck. He looked at Wang Yu's face, "Please," he desperately said, "please don't do this."
The woman sneered, "Isn't that what she said?" She slit the man's throat without another word.
She stood back and watched the man die with a neutral face.
Wang Yu turned around and saw that Hua Cheng was finished with his problems. She smiled, "Hong-er! How was it?"
The man turned to her with a smile, "Perfect."
A few more hundred years passed and Wang Yu ended up traveling with Hua Cheng and Xiao Yu to seek the crown prince. She only agreed because he promised he would help her find Lin Xiu.
The three were sitting on a wagon that was pulled by a bull. The old man driving it was eating an apple calmly.
"Hong-er, where did you say he was ?" Wang Yu asked.
"Black Water said he would be around here," Hua Cheng said. He had changed his appearance once they got in the wagon. He now looked like a young man, maybe around seventeen or eighteen. His eyes were both dark and bright. He looked quite handsome.
Wang Yu also had to change her appearance. She looked older than Hua Cheng still, and had short hair. Her eyes were both dark as well.
Xiao Yu looked like a little boy, his face round and childlike. He was around the age of 10 now.
The wagon came to a sudden stop and they heard a voice, "Excuse me, sir, would you mind lending me a ride?"
Hua Cheng froze at the sound of the man's voice. He looked at Wang Yu who smiled teasingly. His hands went to his lap where a leaf lay and began playing around with it.
They all rode in silence until the man began speaking out loud, "Why would the Water Master also be prayed for wealth?"
Hua Cheng took this chance immediately, "Ships often take goods around, so the Water Master tends to be in charge in that area as well."
The man looked in his direction, "Ah, you seem very knowledgeable, friend."
Hua Cheng smiled, "I have a lot of free time, I use it by reading."
"Then, do you know about ghosts?"
"Which ghost?"
"Crimson Rain Sought Flower, Hua Cheng."
