Days blended together after a while and by the end of the week the frustration of being denied job after job and constantly dealing with hunger pains finally hit its peak and Aurora decided it was time to switch it up. As the night rolled around that Friday evening, she threw on the only skirt she owned with a crop top she got years ago as a birthday present. Even though she'd been dropping an unhealthy amount of weight the past few weeks, her chest and ass till stayed as perky and round as ever. As she stood in front of her full-length mirror, almost perfectly level with the top of it due to her knee-high stiletto boots, she looked at how the top hugged her chest. As the strings wrapped around her stomach, crossing in the front and back, and as they disappeared into the black skirt sitting snugly just underneath her belly button, only to flare out around her thighs. With some makeup magic, she was able to hide most of the gauntness around her face. Her wavy hair hid the rest. 'This will have to do' she thought as she walked out her door.

Getting into Upstream wasn't hard. By all accounts, Aurora was a very pretty woman, normally tiny without her heels and curvy in all the right places. Long, full fluttering natural lashes most women would kill for framed her large green eyes. Her nose was small and button-like, with a tiny fake diamond adorning the side, complimenting the small beauty mark under her left eye. Her naturally pale complexion was offset by her blacker than night hair. She resembled a doll. A tiny porcelain doll. She hated it. But her appearance had some advantages. So walking up to the unfamiliar bouncer and flashing a pretty smile was all it took to bypass the long line and get in free of charge. Making her way to the bar and trying her hardest not to be swallowed by the group, she tried to remember if it was always this packed. 'This is a damn fire hazard,' she thought as she sat down in the far corner of the bar nearest to the wall. She didn't try to signal the bartender, she knew all she had to do was wait and lo-n-behold there were four drinks in front of her. As well as an amused bartender. She use to come here fairly regularly, during better times, so she knew almost all the staff. This adult juice provider was one of her favorites.

"Compliments of such and such, blah, blah, blah. I know you don't care and I told the bouncer to watch them so nothing more creepy happens," he smirked as he waved to the creepily staring group of men on the other side of the bar.

He understood her on a spiritual level and she was convinced they would grow old together as heterosexual life partners.

'You always know how to win my heart, Danny.' Aurora thought as she made a heart with her hands and mimed pumping it at him before she turned and smiled at her would never happen suitors, and giving them a thumbs down before shooting back three of the drinks. Nursing the fourth until some other brave soul tried for her hand in coitus.

Danny laughed a bit and leaned against the counter to talk to her more comfortably.

"Haven't seen you in a bit, Rory. How's life?"

Aurora pantomimed writing just as Danny seemed to produce a pen out of thin air and a wad of napkins from under the bar.

'Oh you know, the sun is shining, the sky is blue and everything is on fire.' She wrote on a napkin smiling

"Hun, we live in Seattle. The sky is always grey and it raining."

'Exactly.' She saluted him with her drink and then shot that one back as well. Already seeing the other bartender coming up to her with a new set of drinks.

"Hey, Rory. Danny stop flirting with your future baby momma and make some damn drinks." Ivy, the manager said as she hip-checked him away. Danny laughed and gave Aurora a salute and a peck on the cheek, as he walked away to do his job. Ivy smiled at him as he went.
