Aurora awoke the next morning in her bed still smiling. She and Simon had spent the rest of the night talking, well he talked, she wrote on her napkins in response. He had found it strange at first and had stood in an attempt to move his chair next to her, commenting that he doesn't mind moving closer to listen to her speak, thinking she may have had a soft voice or something. But Aurora had just shaken her head and motioned him back to his spot. He hadn't objected and just looked at her amusingly before continuing their conversation. They talked about their life a bit. Her move from Colorado to Seattle, his life in South Korea, and his business trip/vacation here. They talked about jobs, him being a bit vague on his profession, just stating he was in the entertainment world. She dodging and shamefully stating that she was between jobs at the moment.

They spoke of dance the most though. Aurora finally being able to answer some of his questions from earlier. No, she wasn't a part of a group, she was all self-taught, no she didn't dance professionally. 'It's just a hobby but also so much more' she had written to him. And it really was more than that. It was her safe haven, her escape, her everything. They talked about how they both believed it brought people together, how it healed and soothed. How it was more addicting than the finest material objects in the world. How it was sometimes physically and mentally exhausting but at the end of the day so worth it because of the sense of freedom and peace, you got.

They talked till the bar closed and a bit after because Ivy was a homie and didn't want to interrupt the first conversation Aurora had had in what seemed to be a long time. It had been a while since she had seen that carefree smile on Aurora's face. Ivy only played the bad guy when everything was cleaned up and shut down for the night and all that was left was to lock the doors. Still, Simon and Aurora had continued to talk as they walked to the door, as Ivy gave Aurora a hug goodnight with promises to keep in touch more and as Simon walked her back to her place not far from Upstream. They had sat on the front steps of her building for some time before she had yawned and Simon finally called it a night. He bid her good night but not before he handed her his business card. Telling her if she was interested, he had a job offer for her and made her promise to call or text him even if she didn't want to accept the job. Stating he still wanted to keep this blossoming friendship alive. He had laughed at her pinky promise and waved her good night as he waited for her to walk into her locked building. Aurora had smiled all the way upstairs to her apartment, and while she placed the absolutely ridiculous amount of napkins she had written on in a shoebox under her bed. As she changed into more comfortable clothes she felt peaceful and while she fell asleep it was with a lighter heart and pleasant ache in her limbs. She was still smiling as she awoke the next morning as well still clenching the card in her hand she never let go of the night previous.

Rolling over and looking at the time she noticed that she had slept the better part of the day away. Since it was starting to pus one in the afternoon she finally decided to get up and wash away the previous night. As the bathtub filled up she sat at the edge and looked at the card in her hand, having a hard time not believing this all wasn't a dream. Still feeling a little giddy and weightless, she lit some candles and used the last of her Epson salt in the tub, figuring she should soothe some of the leftover aches in her muscles. Once she was finally situated in the water she finally plugged the number from the card into her phone and texted Simon.

A: Hey Simon this is Aurora from the club last night.

The response was almost instant.

S: TINY DANCER!! I didn't think you would text. Good to hear from you!

When they had sat on her steps the previous night Aurora had finally taken off her boots to rest her legs more comfortably. It was only when they stood up again to say goodbyes that Simon had seen her true height. She only came to about heart level with him and he had laughing called her tiny dancer as they split up. It seems the nickname was going to stick. Aurora laughed at the message before she responded.
