The faint sound of sirens. The faint smell of smoke. Everything around me had faded into darkness. Minutes turned into hours and hours turned into days. What felt like seconds turned out to be two weeks. I awoke in a bed surrounded by bright, white lights. My mind could only focus on the faint beeping noises surrounding me. Without hesitation I attempted to sit up."Delilah! You're awake." I heard a voice.
"How long was I out?" I sat up.
"Two weeks." The voice grew closer.
"What? There is no way." I looked around me.
"You were out for two weeks. The doctors said if you didn't get outside the door in time you would not have made it." The person behind the voice revealed itself.
"Mom? I almost didn't. The moment I stepped through the doorway outside everything went dark." I said as I looked in the hallway.
"Why would you do that honey! You scared me." She hugged me gently.
"I needed to stop him mom." I hugged her back.
"Who Del? Who did you need to stop?" She quickly pulled away.
"Dad." I answered and everything went back to darkness.
The sounds of feet hurrying across the floor. The faint sound of crying. People yelling my name. I tried to open my eyes but something was stopping me. I tried to let everyone know I was still here but no words came out. My heart broke as people cried my name. A sudden sigh of relief hit me when the lights turned back on. I gasped and tried to yell yet nothing came out. When my eyes were fully open I looked around the room slowly. Jake, Devon, Lexy, Junior, Oliver, my mom, the doll? My body shot up. I pointed behind Jake. When he turned around he saw nothing.
"What is it?" Lexy walked over to my side.
"Chucky, he is behind you guys!" I pointed again.
"Delilah there is nothing there." Jake walked over to me.
"But I saw him!" I yelled.
"There is no one there sweetheart." My mom grabbed my hand.
"But" I started.
"But nothing. You need rest." Lexy grabbed my other hand.
"Maybe you're right." I closed my eyes and listened to the faint sounds of beeping.
I spent a few days in the hospital. When I was finally able to go home I could tell something was up with everyone. Every time I looked at them they looked away. Whenever I tried to hug them they pretended not to see me. I felt like they were keeping a secret from me. They spent every hour in my room but they acted as if I was invisible. Whenever I asked them what was up they all looked at each other and never responded.
"Seriously what is happening? You guys have been acting like I don't exist for days. Someone tell me what is going on." I stared at them awaiting an answer.
"Delil-" Devon started.
"Don't," They all said.
"Chucky's back." Devon said quickly.
