Mitch

**A/N**

An XX will signalize a time skip. These are just random snippets of Scott and Mitch's relationship evolving b/c I really wanted to write some fluff + I didn't want to leave it at that.

"I love you Mitch," Scott whispered to him.

"You do? I mean I love you too. I didn't expect... I mean..." Mitch was stumbling over his words.

"Of course I love you," Scott said. "I have for a while. But after you broke up with Travis... I thought you needed a friend instead of a boyfriend. I kept telling myself that."

"Scott," Mitch whispered, digging his head into Scott's shoulder.

"Hey... uh... Mitch?" Scott asked.

"Yeah?"

"Can we try that kiss again? I wasn't expecting it and I didn't get the chance to kiss back. And I've wanted to kiss you for a really long time. And now I'm rambling and you don't have to if you don't want to but if you want to then can we because," Scott rambled.

"Of course," Mitch said, cutting Scott off as he broke the hug. He reached out and put a hand gently on Scott's cheek, leaning closer to him. He smiled at the blush on Scott's cheeks, the anticipation he could see on his face as he leaned closer into Mitch's hand.

"I love you," Scott whispered again as Mitch leaned close enough for their foreheads to press together. Mitch smiled and finally pressed his lips against Scott's properly. Both of them were smiling into the kiss. Mitch was more than happy.

"I love you too," Mitch whispered back against Scott's lips.

Scott

"Come in guys," Mitch said to Kirstie, Kevin, and Avi as he let them into the room. Scott was sitting on his bed (or maybe it was Mitch's. They'd been sharing a bed all week and Scott could no longer tell whose was whose), fidgeting slightly.

It had been a week since they kissed, and they had finally decided it was time to tell their friends.

Scott was nervous. But he was happy. So, so happy.

Everything wasn't perfect yet, but it was getting there.

Mitch had only had two nightmares throughout the week. And they, Mitch had assured him, were not as intense as the old ones.

"What's up you two?" Kirstie asked. Scott felt Mitch sit next to him and take his hand. He smiled, leaning closer.

"Well," Mitch said. "Since we're practically a band, and you're our best friends, we thought you should be the first to know."

"We're dating," Scott added. Mitch turned Scott's head gently and kissed him. Scott smiled.

"Seriously?" Kirstie asked. Scott nodded, his face red.

"Oh my god you guys. You're too adorable," Avi said.

"Just don't get distracted while we're singing," Kevin joked. Everyone laughed.

They were okay with it.

And Scott was surrounded, in that moment, by the four people he trusted more than anything in the world. He realized that that was where he wanted to be for the rest of his life. With the four of them.
