Fighting With A Wasted Piece of Metal

Sonic was still at Tails' house. Knuckles had gone back to his apartment. Sonic was sleeping on Tails' stomach when a question hit his mind.

'What if the robot is to strong? Or worse, it can't be defeated?' Sonic shook at the thought. But it was a real thought to consider.

"Okay. I better go and see what this 'Robot' is all about!" Sonic said, standing up.

It had been raining all that day, and it was still raining. So Sonic got his coat on and was just about to leave when he heard a tired voice behind him.

It was Tails.

"Where are you going?" Tails said, rubbing his eyes.

"Oh! Hey, buddy! I'm just going for a... Jog. That's all."

"Can I come, to-"

"No!... Er... I mean. I think I need to be alone for a second."

"Your not going to go look for that robot, are you?"

"What? Of COURSE not! What are you talking abou..." Sonic had gotten quieter.

"Sonic? Are you lying to me?"

"No! Of course n-. You know what? Nevermind. I was going to see the badnik. But I wasn't going to ATTACK it!"

"Yeah. I know. But what if I woke up to a call saying you were dead? I'd be DEVESTATED! I'd keep blaming myself. Is that deep enough for you?"

Sonic blinked. He didn't even CONSIDER that! What if Tails woke up and he wasn't there? That would cause a worry.

"Yeah. Okay. I'll come back to bed." Sonic said, pulling off his coat.

"Good." Tails said, walking off.

Right when Tails started walking off, a giant badnik had ripped open the roof and was looking down at them. Sonic heard Eggman laugh and saw him riding the robot.

"Thank GOD I didn't go looking for him." Sonic said.

At that moment the robot swung it's head around the walls. Knocking down both of them. He then started spitting acid balls out of his nozzle sticking out of his muzzle.

"What the heck is this stuff?" Sonic said going to touch it.

"SONIC!!! DON'T!!!" Tails said pushing Sonic away from the acid puddles.

"That's just a taste of what it'll do!" Eggman said.

"I still have to make a few adjustments! Tood-a-loo!" Eggman said, flying off.

As the GIGANTIC robot flew off, Sonic and Tails heard a loud and creepy screech, as it flew off into the night.

At that moment it started raining again. Sonic walked up to his brother and held out his hand to help him get up.

"Well. We know one thing about it."

"What?"

"It's huge."
