Chapter 2 The Werewolf

The woods were so quiet I was used to the noise of the city.Every little noise scared me I stepped on a stick and the noise of it breaking made me jump.I knew these woods like the back of my hand,but that doesn't make the woods not scary at night.Then it was silent,I know the forest can be quiet,but if you listen carefully you can hear feet scurrying or leaves moving,but this was dead silent as if they're was something dangerous nearby.My body was on fight or flight response,and I was prepared to sprint away if I must.I then heard something to my left rusle the bushes I turned quickly to it.The world seemed to stop in that second what I saw was Big red eyes staring at me.My brain was yelling at my feet to run,but my legs had seemed to stop working because I didn't move an inch.The animal in front of me was starting to get closer to me,my brain was screaming at me to run yet still I didn't move.When the animal stepped out from the bushes his beauty was apparent.He was a giant wolf on two legs standing above me.He had golden fur which seemed to glow in the light of the full moon,his muscles were huge and tensed,he seemed strong enough that he could decapitate me with the flick of his paw.His eyes held strength and wisdom that only comes with experience. If he wasn't going to eat me I would have called him beautiful. I wachted unable to move as he prepared to pounce,but before he could a howl arose from far away.The creature in front of me pricked up his ears and listened,he then raised his muzzle to the full moon and howled back a haunting howl that chilled me to the bone and made my blood run cold.He then looked at me briefly and bounded away with such speed that if I had blinked he would have seemed to have disappeared into thin air. When i no longer heard the sound of his pounding paws hit the ground i was in total shock i couldn't move. Then suddenly the world started to spin one thought was bouncing around in my mind. But it couldn't be real there are no suck things as... . NO I refused to believe it,but there was no other explanation. The ground came rushing toward me,the sounds of explosions going off in my ears before i hit the ground and before my world turned dark I realized that I had encountered a werewolf!
