The barn was decorated quite extravagantly, with disco balls and strobe lights.
"Oh look what the cat dragged in." The bi polar boy mumbled, referring to the couple by the punch bowl.
"Who's that?" I asked, looking over.
"Josh Logan, someone who went to my rival high school. He has narcissistic personality disorder."
Max began to explain. "And he hates my guts."
"The girl is Lynn Portia, his girlfriend. She was a grade below me." Quinn butted in. "She has claustrophobia."
"They seem like quite the pair." Brianna chuckled.
"Aaand Josh is glaring at you." I told Maxwell.
A bunch of people cheered and danced to the middle of the floor.
"Oooo I want you to know by Zedd." The girl with OCD grinned. "Let's go dance."
She grabbed my arm, hauling me to the middle. The boy with anxiety followed.
"You coming?" I called, asking Max.
He shook his head and leaned against the wall. I shrugged.
Quinn danced like nobody was watching, he just flailed his arms and legs everywhere. Bri chuckled and joined in. I kind of awkwardly moveed my feet, probably looking like a penguin.
We danced for a couple more songs, my friends trying to convince me to 'cut footloose' but their attempts failed.
"Party pooper." Q said, sticking out his tongue.
"I can't dance." I chuckled in reply.
Max came over and joined us. "Lynn wouldn't stop looking at you Zabby." He said.
"She don't know me though." I shrugged.
"Shit, they're coming." My best friend sighed.
"East." Josh said casually, his arm around his girlfriend.
"Hello!" Max replied with a grin.
"These your........ Friends?" The boy with a narcissistic personality chuckled.
"Yup, Zabby has schizophrenia , Brianna has OCD and arachnophobia, and Quinn has anxiety." He explained.
I waved. "Hi."
"Well I'm Josh, I'm narcissistic. Lynn is my girlfriend she has claustrophobia." The skeetish character replied.
"Hey." She added.
Joshs' glare shot back to Max. "Me you one on one basketball tomorrow at one o'clock."
"Okay cool." The boy with bi polar replied.
"What was thatttt?" Brianna asked.
"My team took the championship from his team, he's been pissed about it ever since." Max replied.
"Woow." I chuckled.
"Did you loose what won't return? Did you love but never learn?" Came over the sound system.
"It's Flares by The Script." The bi polar boy sail quietly.
Bri and Q looked at each other and joined the rest of the people dancing.
Max looked at me, then out at everyone, then back at me again.
"Hey Zabby, want to dance?" He blushed.
My cheeks turned as red as the apples in the orchid. "Of course Max." I replied.
"But can you see the flares in the sky? Were you blinded by the light? Did you feel the smoke in your eyes? Did you? Did you?"
Dancing with Max wasn't as nerve wrecking and awkward as I thought it would be. My arms were around his neck, his hands on my waist. Our eyes met and we smiled for the whole song, he gradually came closer until we were practically hugging. Flares ended and the lights came back on.
"Well that was f-f-fun." The boy with bi polar stuttered.
"Yeah." I smiled and blushed.
Q and Bri joined us.
"It was." My friend grinned.
Everyone began to head back to the house. I checked my phone, it was 12:30am.
The boy with anxiety yawned. "I'm calling it quits, night guys." He hugged Brianna.
She hugged back.
"Night." We all replied.
"Goodnight." He smiled and gave me a tight hug, I hugged him back .
"Goodnight." I smiled in return.
The girl with OCD and I just nodded to each other with a wink and yawn, and I went back to room 243.
"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!."
"Bri?" I hauled back on my hoodie and ran to my best friends room.
