♡ARMIN'S POV♡︎

I sat on my comfortable couch, yet I still felt uncomfortable.

What now?

I've been in this position before, and still picked the wrong answer. I have a way out again, but what choice am I gonna make?

"You told me nothing was going on, Armin," Annie said, laying back on my couch and staring up at the ceiling.

"I don't know what you expect me to say, I didn't fuck her," I said, rubbing my undercut and staring down at the carpet my feet rested on.

"You didn't fucking have to. I knew I shouldn't have believed your bullshit in the first place," Annie said calmly, her body not moving an inch.

"The fuck you mean? It wasn't a lie. We were hardly talking back when you wanted to start accusing me of cheating," I replied. "Are you fucking serious? So you don't think having a crush on another bitch is cheating?" Annie said. Her words were harsh, yet somehow her voice held no sense of anger or annoyance, it was just normal.

"Watch it," I warned Annie, my eyes immediately darting to her from calling Y/n out of her name.

"Or what? What the fuck are you gonna do?" Annie asked, turning her head to me and making eye contact with me.

"You know what? I'm gone. Go be with her you manipulative, gaslighting, bastard." With that being said, Annie got off of the couch, and walked out of my front door, loudly slamming it on her way out. "Your mistake," I heard her say from outside the door.

That's it. One chapter of the book closed, another one now opened. I couldn't help but be a little sad. Everything was meant to change now. Things won't be the same, whether that's meant to be a good thing or bad thing.

I picked up my phone from the coffee table, calling Y/n's number.

"Hello?" She asked, picking up the phone. "Hey, are you on the way?" I asked her. "Nah I'm still at home," she said. "Well imma send a Uber to your place," I told her.

"Um, okay. Everything okay?" She genuinely asked me. "It will be when you get here," I said, putting the phone on speaker and sending an Uber to pick her up.

Y/n laughed a little, putting her head down. I knew she got shy when I said certain things like this to her. It's like her laugh was a melody in my head. It made me forget about everything that happened in the last twenty minutes. Well, for a short amount of time it did.

I was laying on the couch, reading a random book I had picked from one of the shelves around my condo when the sound of a melodic knock on my door alerted me.

I walked over to my door, opening it to see Y/n standing there staring at her feet, which were pointed inwards to each-other.

She adjusted the long strap of her cross body purse and looked up at me when she realized the door was open.

Before she had looked up, I took a quick second to scan over her fit. She wore a U cut cropped white tank top that fit snug on her body and black Nike jersey shorts. On her feet were a pair of black and white dunks with white ankle socks and a gold ankle bracelet.

She looked beautiful, nonetheless.

"Can I come in?" She asked, maintaining eye contact with me as she motioned her hand towards the inside of the furnished condo.

"Oh, yeah yeah, of course. My fault," I said, growing embarrassed quickly. "No worries," She said, walking in and placing her bag on one of the hooks right in front of the door.

-------------

It's been about two hours since Y/n got to my place. Her body laid in between my legs as her head rested on my stomach and her hands clenched the bottom of the hoodie I had on.

She was fast asleep with her mouth hung open, but she wasn't drooling, or at least not yet.

There were snacks and drinks laid out on the coffee table in front of the couch we laid on while the tv played Finding Nemo, only one of the best movies there are.

My hand was tangled in Y/n's curls, lightly rubbing her scalp as she laid on me.

Out of instinct, I pulled my phone out of my hoodie pocket and held it up, snapping a few pictures of Y/n and I.

"Now why you taking pictures you know we can't post?" Y/n asked not moving an inch, her eyes still closed.

"What you mean we can't post? 'Cause I'm about to post them right now..." I told Y/n watching her sit up from laying on my stomach. She put both of her arms on my thighs as she moved her body up to look at my phone screen.

The gesture made my face turn red, but luckily, she didn't realize.

"And it's not a lil bit too early for that? I mean...you just broke up with yo girl like...a few hours ago, Armin."

My heart dropped to my ass after I heard her words. Her knowledge of me breaking up with Annie completely took me aback. How did she find out? I don't fucking know.

"How the hell-" "You ain't think I was stupid right? You haven't even realized that all then suddenly you became such a touchy person. Plus when I got here she was outside sitting on her car smoking, I could already tell she was high as fuck and Annie doesn't seem like the stoner type, so I already knew something was up," Y/n said, piecing together each detail and bit of evidence she had.

"Plus, you calling me hours before we agreed to hang out seemed kinda weird to me too, but I ain't really think much of it until I caught notice of everything else," She concluded.

"Oh so you smart like that, huh?" I said lowly with a smile on my face.

"You damn right I am," Y/n replied, returning my smile. Diverting my attention back to my phone, I read the time at the top of the screen, 7:24pm. A last minute idea popped up in my head.

'I'm a fucking genius' I thought.

"I'm gonna take you back to your place so you can get ready, then Ill come pick you up, okay?" I told Y/n as she sat up and stood up from the couch.

"Mhm, but where are we going?" She asked while twisting her face up in confusion.

"We're about to have our first little date," I said, side eyeing Y/n while grinning, picking up my keys, and walking the both of us out.

I watched as she slowly but surely returned my smile. "Okay."
