Chapter 8: Bloody Hands

You and Camilo run down to the police station. Abuela, Pepa, and Felix are already there along with Dolores.

"Where is Carlos?!" Camilo scream asks running up with you behind him

"he's in the interrogation room.." Pepa mutters.

"For what??" You ask her with a sympathetic look.

"He nearly killed someone names mike..do either of you know why he'd do this??" Pepa asks looking down at you with a saddened expression.

You nod "maybe we should go somewhere more private..?" You gesture toward them to follow you.

Camilos shoulder brushes up against yours and it sends shivers across your body. "You sure you want to do this?" He asks you

You nod "They deserve to know why he's in here even if it means telling the whole story " you mumble looking down.

He grabs your hand and squeezes it.

When you guys get outside of the police station they all look at you.

"Okay so here's what happened..mike was my ex, he threw a party the other night and he tried to..force himself on me.." you stop for a minute as they all give apologetic faces.

"Carlos and Camilo heard me screaming and they came and helped, Camilo took me home and Carlos stayed and I'm going to assume by what's happening now, beat him up." You say rubbing your arm.

"He nearly killed him, but im so proud of my boys.." Felix says stepping forward and kissing camilos cheek

"Thanks papa" he smiles at his father.

They all give you apology hugs.

You guys go back inside and wait til you have permission to talk to Carlos.

Pepa and Felix go to see him first. "Carlos, y/n told me what you did. I'm proud of you son. But maybe you went to far teaching him a lesson!" Pepa says grabbing his hand.

"I know mama, but I can't stand seeing someone treated like that, especially her.." he says with a sad yet mad look on his face.

Felix pats his back "You still did good but next time maybe we should just take him to court and let the judge decide what happens so this won't happen again.." Felix and Carlos chuckle a little.

Then they leave and qbuela goes in "WHAT WERE YOU THINKING! YOURE GOING TO GIVE THIS FAMILY A BAD NAME!!" She yells at him.

"Abuela, Y/n was being assaulted! I couldn't let him get away with that even if the judge would have done something in court!" He barks back.

"Ugh! Now I have to make sure this doesn't get out to the public!!" Abuela storms out.

Then Dolores goes.

"I heard what was happening and tried calling for help..I'm sorry I couldn't do it fast enough but the cops were on their way when Camilo called then" she mumbles feeling like she's failed everyone.

Carlos hugs her. "You tried Dolores its okay." She hugs him back "my brother became a softie right now" she chuckles.

He rolls his eyes "Yea yea whatever" he pulls back and Dolores leaves. You and Camilo enter.

You tackle Carlos into a hug "WHAT WERE YOU THINKING?" You yell practically sobbing into his shoulder.

"I couldn't let him get away with that" he says sliding his hands onto your back. 

"Little mr hard twin cares after all" camilo jokes.

"Obviously, thats low...even for me" he says rubbing his fingers in little circles on your back.

"Well thank you Carlos, but what will happen to you?" you ask squeezing him a little tighter.

"Abuela will make sure this doesnt get out and i get off with a small secret punishment like probation or something" carlos shrugs.

"you say that like its nothing-" camilos says with a confused face.

you pull out of the hug.

"its not a big deal" carlos shrugs again.
