After Dr. Ryan did my hourly check up on me he smiled and said “It took 24hours but you seem to be much better, go home, take the anti-depression pills and pllleeeassseee don’t attempt suicide again!” He said seriously, then added “Remember, suicide is a permanent solution for a temporary problem”

I just smiled, I didn’t really know what to say to that… but apparently Matt did.

“Thank you Dr. Ryan, don’t worry. I’ll take very good care of Elle” Matt said shaking Dr. Ryan’s hand and turning to wink at me.

“Now come on, I gotta get you home. We have school tomorrow” Matt said and I groaned “No, I don’t want to go back!” I said pouting and crossing my arms over my chest in a bratty kid way.

“You missed two days Elle” Matt said, knitting his eyebrows together.

“Actually it might be healthy if Elle skipped just one more day of school, seeing as she is just getting out of the hospital” Dr. Ryan said, offering me a smile which a gratefully returned.

“Fine, I guess one more day won’t hurt us” Matt sighed

“Us? What do you mean ‘us’?” I asked scrunching up my nose in confusion

“Well obviously I’m not going to let you skip alone, I’ll entertain you” Matt winked and I couldn’t help but smile. Awe, how sweet is he… SNAP OUT OF IT ELLE! HES YOUR BEST FRIEND!

“Well then, help me up. I’m sick of the smell in this hospital… it smells like cleanness” I complained and Dr. Ryan laughed.

“Alright, well I’ll just need a guardian 18 or over to sign this release form so you can go home” Dr. Ryan says and I frown.

“My father isn’t going to come and sign that” I said and then got an idea “Can Matt sign it? He’s 18!” I asked happily. Matt had turned 18 turning this summer, we had a movie night. He said he didn’t want a party which I found odd because what normal guy doesn't want a party?!. Oh well.

“I guess but you’ll have to sign here too Miss Danielle” Dr. Ryan said and I smiled.

After we finished signing and said our goodbyes to Dr. Ryan and my nurse, we finally left.

“Can we grab something to eat? I miss normal food, hospital food is poison” I said whining and Matt laughed.

“Sure, where do you want to go?” He asked as he started up the car and started to drive.

“Anywhere would be fine” I said and Matt smiled mostly to himself.

After the longest drive of my life, we finally parked somewhere that looked a bit abandoned.

“Where are we?” I asked looking around

“You said anywhere” Matt grinned teasingly

“Anywhere that has food YOU DIMWIT!” I said hitting his chest and he's grin widened.

“Come with me” He said softly, taking my hand and leading me behind an large old shed

“You’re not going to murder and hide me here are you?” I asked getting scared and Matt laughed
