"I want you more than any blue sky" -Tenki no ko
Some things are just better left unsaid.
Like the way the sun touches Alvita's hair, dazzling Yash's eyes. The way she lightly steps out of the classroom, makes Yash wonder whether she has the ability to stop time itself. Every particle waltzes, slowly settling in the moment like snow, while all the delicate details of her face confront him like he has committed a crime.
Is appreciating someone really a crime?
With every second that slips away, Yash could see her face clearer, like a magnifying glass, closer and closer. A subtle voice tries to nab him from the deep ocean trenches of his thoughts.
"YASH!" A hand glosses over his eyes, startling him out of this reverie.
He could hear his friends snicker in the background, and tried his best not to turn beet red. His brown complexion probably saved him from this utter embarrassment.
"Dude, I've been calling you like forever, what the hell were you thinking about?"
"You," coughs one of his friends while the others proceed to die in suppressed laughter.
Alvita simply frowns in confusion, the subtle message sliding past her, as most things do. To really understand the kind of person Alvita is, you'd have to go back to last year's valentine's day;
A student from a different homeroom stepped into the intimidating pool of Alvita's classmates with a huge bouquet of blood-red flowers. He blushed as he passed it onto Alvita, and quickly dashed out of the class, his ears red. Alvita stood awkwardly with flowers letting a few seconds pass before asking one of her friends when he would come back to pick them back up. Her friends sighed in disappointment. Yash was saved from this uncomfortable scene, as they were in different homerooms last year. But he remembers his blood boiling when Alvita recounted the event to him, laughing embarrassed. He did not know his own feelings back then... Hell, he didn't even know they existed up until ten minutes ago- while his friends were teasing him.
For a long time, his emotions for Alvita kept hitting and responding back like the waves onshore; the only response he got was his own, influenced by the wind... The wind being Alvita of course.
Alvita kicks her legs onto a vacant chair nearby as one of her friends clicks her tongue in disapproval. Alvita smirks back in response.
Yash was the kind of person who was surrounded by people even though he never understood why. Most of the time they would just flock around him lost in their own world talking to each other. He was not somebody you would call the "popular type," most people would just recognize him as the "boy from my class". He was the kind of guy who fits every scenario and every group; someone you have known for a long time even though you only just met today.
Alvita was probably not that different from him.
However, in Yash's eyes, Avita was someone who was far out of his reach. He had known her since freshman year and she always stood out in a crowd (at least to him). Eyes that meet yours but are somehow encapsulated in their own thoughts. An entity surrounded by noise, but stood out like a blare, calling out to you. Basically, in Yash's eyes, Alvita seemed alone even in a large group.
