The Way to Wonderland

Ch.1

It hurt to breathe it even hurt to move I knew i was dead at that point so i said my peace

"aye, Nomad"

I'd rip off the 6 dog tags from around my neck and place them in his hand while gripping it with the last of my strength,

"Wonderland...It's....its..still gonna happen right?"

With that I closed my eyes and died leaving behind a family and my brothers of war. It was peaceful for a while but then I felt an odd stirring feeling and then like a wolf pouncing on its prey I shot awake and rolled away from the danger my body sensed and I immediately pulled Sharp thunder ,my revolver, out and fired a round into the bone white head of the black beast that had attempted to get the jump on me and with the muted sound of my revolver firing the beast dropped dead. That's no wolf I've ever seen before I through while i started to take in my situation and location, well it seems I'm no longer on Aurora and I'm now in my full tactical gear and I see the Silver Stake ,my special Marksman rifle, and Tactical backpack filled with supplies leaning against the tree I had been leaning against until I had rolled away from it to kill the beast. I slung the backpack onto my back and Silver stake over my right shoulder and started walking to the northwest and after some walking I see a group of 5 people who looked like they were some bandits from a cheesey movie walking with what seemed like a cart full of supplies so I decided to follow them to where they were heading towards. They kept on the move for a while until they came up to what seemed like a camp that had a perimeter of spiked logs and wooden spike defenses and a wooden gate with three guards protecting it. I decided that even if they were bandits I could use them to my advantage by joining them for a while which would give me a relatively safe place to rest eat and plan my next steps of action and possibly find some who i could start training into Wolves; but if they are truly bandits then if I want to be accepted by them I can't just ask to join them because they would probably want to rob me instead and a full-on rush is not something i am completely capable of doing without my drones so I started to plan my way to sneak in unseen to talk to their leader privately by the time I had finished planning dusk begun to set the sun now just barely out of sight and so I began my operation. I turned on my night vision and got to work waiting for when the guards would switch out and eventually they did and once they were on the move so was I moving through the shadows like the way i did when I was a ghost i had stopped trailing the guards and moved to the perimeter of the camp where it was easier to maneuver through because some bandits most likely would not expect a elite stealth operative to sneak in to their base as I continued to walk crouched moving along keeping my eyes and ears peeled for any sudden movements when I noticed a shadow moving towards where I was as the person came to a stop in between two tents i heard them grumbling about something and then go back into their tent and I kept moving as I got to another small gap between a tent and the leaders elevated tent I decided to crawl the last few feet and then I was in. But there was no one in the tent at the moment so I just found a spot and sat in the dark invisible to the Normal eye.

Raven: "No Vernal find a different place to raid that has less security"

Vernal: "but boss the score would be huge"

Raven: "And our losses would be bigger, so no know go rest and go back to scouting in the morning"

Vernal: "Yes, Chief"

The woman who was called the chief entered the tent and left what looked like a katana and a mask next to her bed as she was turned the other way

Walker: "Well it seems you've hit quite a road block"

Raven: "Who are you and how did you get into my quarters"

Walker: "I'm just a simple man who wishes to speak about joining you and your little gang"

Raven: "Well why would I let you join my tribe when they could probably tear you apart with ease"

Walker: "Oh please being sneaky is my specialty so how is your tribe going to tear me apart if no one knows I am here"

Raven: "Well that maybe true so i guess I shall hear you out"

Walker: "Ok then that's a lot better I'll help out your little gang hit this compound and in future raids all I ask for exchange is a tent to myself, a larger share than all those canon fodder goons you got, and you to tell me what's up in this world because the one I died in or at least I think I died in still had a full moon and it didn't have any of these black boned beasts"

Raven: "Well how about this since you remind me of someone I'll just tell you about the group we're going to be facing and if you succeed I will agreed to your terms"

Walker: "Well I guess that's acceptable"

Raven: "Good, well the people who run this hidden outpost are called the white fang and they are a group of hybrid animal humans who want so Called equality and even through they used to be a peaceful organization they have gone to more violent ways to try and gain equality. The place my second in command Vernal found is a weapons and dust stash and the tribe needs the extra firepower if it is going to keep taking on bigger targets"

Walker: "is there anything they can do better than the average human, what kind of armor do they have, and what weapons do they use"

Raven: "They can see really good in the dark and depending on the hybrid they are they might have a unique ability. As for Armored they really just have their aura and their semblance thats it"

Walker: "Alright what is an aura and what is a semblance and what do they do exactly"

Raven: "Well a Aura is a the manifestation of one's soul which can be used in a wide range of abilities and a semblance is a power manifested from a persons aura that can be many different things but a person can only have on semblance and I'm assuming that if you didn't know what they were that you don't have yours unlocked"

Walker: "you would be correct on that assumption, why do you ask though"

Raven: "Well If you come out of the shadows I will activate it for you"

Walker: "Now why would you do that instead of just trying to kill me?"

Raven: "The reason I'm going to do that instead of trying to kill you is simple you are presenting a rare opportunity for me to gain much and give very little in return and if you live up to what you say you are then you are worth more to me alive"

I'd walk out the shadows a and flip back my hood and take off my helmet and extend out my hand to shake hers.

Walker: "Fair point, I guess we have a deal then lady"

Raven: "My name is Raven and yours is?"

Walker: "I'm Walker"

Raven: "Well we have a deal Walker"

I'd shake her hand while looking her in the eyes and I'd see a feeling of fear hidden by so many conflicting emotions. I glow a dark gray for a second and then she let go of my hand and she'd look me up and down.

Raven: "you look young for the amount of stuff it looks like you have been through"

Walker: "I could say the same to you, but i guess dying knocks a few years off the aging process. Well I'm going to get some rest and you can introduce me to the tribe later"

Id go back into the shadows and lay my head on my backpack and fall asleep.
