Falling.

Can be a positive yet also negative.

Falling in love, is usually good, right?

It feels good, a little scary but it's something you want. But falling can also hurt. It can damage you, scar you for life.

Falling doesn't necessarily mean you always stand back up.

-----

The gentle rays of the rising sun glide through the blinds and into the room. Mark's eyes flicker open and he sighs. Yuta had fallen asleep at the edge of the bed. Kaname was staring at him, cross-armed.

"Morning" She scowls. "Morning..." He mutters and Yuta lifts his head up, a smile of relief breaking over his lips.

"Are you alright?" He asks, sniffling as he softly strokes Mark's cheeks. Mark nods. "Good to hear, I called Kaname over because uh... yeah" He lets out a small laugh.

Yuta had gotten ill too.

Selfish.

"Yuta, is it okay if I talk to him on his own?" She asks and he nods, giving Mark a peck on his forehead before leaving the room.

SLAP.

Mark stares at her with wide eyes and furrowed brows. He places a cold hand on his cheek and clenches his jaw feeling the sting.

"You're a fucking idiot" She spits. "Selfish. Is what you are. What the fuck did you do that for?!" She breathes. She couldn't understand it. What was this man playing at? Mark stays silent and looks out the window. Why had he done that? He knew what would happen. He really was selfish.

SLAP.

"Fucking answer me!" She raises her voice. "Yuta would've gone apeshit and killed us all if you'd fucking died, do you understand?" She asks and he looks at her. He's a psychopath. Yuta doesn't feel anything for Mark. Mark knows this. Kaname knows this... so what is she trying to say? "He could care less" Mark exhales.

SLAP.

...

Mark grabs hold of her wrist mid-air, "Stop it, if you do any more damage, Yuta will flip, won't he?" He says, forcing the girl back down into the chair. She stares at him with wide angry eyes. She couldn't believe how he'd just spoken to her.

"Yuta" Mark calls before Kaname could utter another word. Yuta's head peeks through the slightly ajar door. "You can come back in now," He says and Kaname shoves her hands in her coat pockets to hide her shaking fists. She was furious. Kaname had bent over backwards to help him, risked so much because she can't bear to watch him suffer, she wasn't just doing this for Mark, she was doing this so Eunbi would still have her uncle, Mark was the only one Eunbi had now and Mark... doesn't seem to care. Kaname knows what Mark is going through right now and she thought Mark knew too but... why does he seem to be completely fine with it? Is this what he wants? Is this how he wants to live his life? Has he already been broken?

Is it truly too late?

"Oh Mark what happened? Your face is bright red!" Yuta frowns, tending to Mark's reddened face. He wasn't sure if Yuta had heard Kaname slapping him or if he was just playing dumb. "I'll get you an ice pack," He says bending down beside the bed and opening the fridge. He frowns, sighing. "We've only got one in here, Kaname would you kindly request for a few more ice packs?" Yuta smiles and she stares down at him. "No, go do it yourself, you're perfectly capable of doing it yourself" She sneers and Yuta's smile drops. "Okay, you didn't need to be mean, you could've just said no," He says grabbing the ice pack, gently laying it against Mark's cheek before walking out.
