Chapter 1

Aiden

December, 2

—clean up well you bastard—said the Alpha's son, his name is Max and he actually hates me for no reason.

I don't answer, I'm not supposed to talk if no one has allowed me to, I just go about my business, mopping the floor, but I know it's not going to stop there, Max walks towards me and I flinch waiting for the punch, but it never comes, instead I watch as Max kicks the bucket of dirty water in front of me and the water falls everywhere, me included.

—Do you have something to say?—he said laughing in my face, I kept my gaze on the floor as I was taught. I shook my head and Max left.

An hour later I finished cleaning up the mess that Max made, so I went to the kitchen, it was time to prepare lunch, seeing so much food was whetting my appetite, but I am not allowed to eat with the pack, nor eat their food in general.

I set the table and waited until the Alpha's family sat down to eat, twenty-seven people live in the mansion, the Alpha, his wife, Max who is an only child and the brothers of the Alpha's wife with their respective families, twenty-seven people who seemed to dedicate their lives to make me suffer.

For as long as I can remember my life has been like this, I have worked for the Alpha, some say it is because I am Omega, others say I am like the house slave. I don't know what the reason really is, as far as I know the omegas in this herd are scarce and I have never seen one, to prove that all omegas are treated the same, on the other hand I don't know well what a slave is, but it seems to be an insult by the way they say it. I really don't know many things, I have never gone out of the mansion's grounds, since they don't allow me to do so, so I have only related with the 27 people of this place and some of them don't even take my existence into account.

Have I tried to escape?

I haven't done it either because, to be honest, inside or outside, I have nowhere to go.

Aiden trembled at the thought of the untimely dinner, because the menu that the Alpha wanted that night was very difficult to prepare, the dinner was not ready on time.

After dinner was served Aiden went to the kitchen to wait for the Alpha, he felt his hands getting very cold and his heart was beating faster, he was literally shaking with fear.

Half an hour later the Alpha came in and Aiden got down on his knees in front of him trying to apologize.

—Sorry, I'm sorry— he said softly.

—You little shit, all you have to do is serve your superiors and you can't even do that well, you're useless— said the man with a thick voice, he was furious—I ate my dinner late today, but you won't eat anything as punishment.

The man approached Aiden, with a shove he knocked him to the ground, kicked him and then left. He had been good after all, the Alpha's punches were the worst, because his strength was that of an Alpha, which is to say extremely strong.

Once the Alpha was gone Aiden managed to get up and walk to the living room, he picked up each plate and looked hungrily at what was left over, but he could not disobey.

In the evening, tired from doing chores all day, he walked painfully to what he called his room, which was really nothing more than a corner of the basement, the basement was large, fortunately.

His corner was in the laundry room where he spent a lot of time. Aiden had nothing really of his own, everything in that place was what had been left over from someone else. The only thing that was uniquely his was a horrible metal necklace he wore welded around his neck, he had worn it since he was 5 years old, but when he was little he learned to take it off, so the Alpha noticing it, had the necklace welded around the boy's neck. That night Aiden fell asleep while remembering some not so pleasant things from his childhood, he didn't feel bad, he was used to that, just thoughtful about it, that until fatigue won him and he finally managed to fall asleep.
