Danny had had enough of his parents neglectfulness and his rude sister. He was going to run away. Today.
And with that he made a note to his family.
- Dear Family
Due to how I have been treated I am running away. I hope your all happy without me. - Danny.
That should do it. He thought with a grimace before stealing some food and getting some of his clothes together and shoving it all in a plastic bag before storming out into the night. Which it was only after walking for around ten minutes that he realized he was lost and it was dark and why Oh why was he out here this late.
And then he remembered. His family only caring about Jazz and never giving him any affection because he was the dumber one. It wasn't fair! He sniffled before sitting down and beginning to cry. Which of course was when he felt a presence. One which sent his hairs tingling in fear and caused him to gasp.
"Boogeyman!" He shouted as it suddenly appeared that he was surrounded and that the boogeyman himself was right infront of him staring down at him with a quizzical expression.
"You don't scare me! I'm a big boy!" Danny snapped at him while doing his best to not pee his pants at the fact that there were atleast a dozen giant horses surrounding him.
"Oh really? Then why can I feel your fear?" Boogeyman smiled.
"Uhhhh..." Danny frowned before looking around and then finally he sat down with a huff.
"Fine! You win! I'm scared. But it's just because this is my first time completely alone and out in the dark." Danny stated nervously.
"Say.. speaking of that.. why are you out here all by yourself?" The boogeyman asked sounding concerned.
"Because I ran away. Mommy and daddy don't want me and my sister doesn't either. They think I'm stupid." Danny sobbed.
"I'm.. sure that's not true. Where is your home?" Boogeyman asked while reaching out with a hand and looking surprised when Danny took it.
"I don't know. I got lost. I said I was running away and I meant it. I even left a note!" Danny stated with serious eyes.
"Well. I can't just leave you out here." Boogeyman frowned.
"Why do you even care? Aren't you supposed to be the embodiment of fear?" Danny asked him honestly.
"Just because I'm the spirit of fear doesn't mean that I'm heartless." The boogeyman stated before baring his teeth at Danny.
Danny stared for a moment and then nodded. "Fine. But I'm not going home."
"Well then you can stay the night at my castle until I find your parents." Boogeyman said and before Danny knew it he was being surrounded in black sand and being teleported into a dark cave like place.
"Wow! Is this where you live Mr. Boogeyman?" Danny asked while looking around in shock.
"Yes and since you're a temporary guest you may call me Pitch. Now I'm going to go look for your parents. Which means I need a name." Pitch said.
"Danny. Danny Fenton." Danny said morosely because he didn't want to go home. Home sucked but at the same time he had a feeling if he didn't give the boogeyman his name he would regret it.
"Alright. I'll be off then. Now sleep." And with that the nightmare king put Danny to sleep with nightmare sand and left into the night to find the kids parents.
