"I'll be sure to never let go of your hand, Kei..." she grinned.

Even under the moonlight, Y/N can see Baji's crimson-like face. He stared at her for a minute and said:

"You promise?" he queried.

"Yes, I promise" she held out her right hand, forming a pinky promise sign.

The male beside her smiled gently, he lifts his left hand with the same movements as hers. But before he could do the pinky swear, he said:

"Whoever breaks the promise should eat the stars"

"Eh?! But that's impossible!" Y/N protests.

"Exactly, there's no way we could easily forgive someone who breaks something valuable."

'Valuable, huh?' she thought

"This pinky promise is valuable?" she questioned, making the lad grin widely.

"Of course! Not even the Melo Melo pearl is on the level with this promise's value."

She soundlessly laughed at his statement. Baji reddens even more as he thought he humiliated himself again in front of the pretty lady.

"That sounds dumb, Kei." she told.

"Y-yeah"

"But I like it"

Y/N instantly intertwines her pinky with his. Baji was in no position to react quickly, he was shocked to witness the girl's actions.

"I promise to never let you go." she said.

"Huh?" the lad tilted his head to the side as he was giving a questioning look at the lady.

"Dummy, you're supposed to say your promise"

"O-oh, right. I forgot about it." he locks his gaze to her eyes. "Then, I promise to never leave by your side." he tightens his pinky's grip on her.

They both move their hands together vertically and chanted:

"Pinky promise
Hope to die
Eat needled shortcakes
As I slit my eye."

They both smiled and tightened their grips on their pinkies as if they don't want to separate ways.

Hours have passed, their hands were holding to each other. They are still outside talking and having fun like there's no tomorrow. Their laughs echoed throughout the park, the cold air didn't bother the two individuals.

Y/N sighed as a mist came out of her mouth.

"Kei, I want this to last forever"

Their gazes never left the silver moon above them. Baji did not instantly respond to Y/N's statement. He waited for a few seconds and said:

"Me too" he paused and look at her. "I want this too, Y/N"

Y/N unconsciously smiled while her eyes were still glued to the moon.

"Then, wait for me to recover" Baji's eyes softened at her response.

"You'll get better, I know"

"When I get better, let's dance under the moonlight" she turned her head to face him. "Be my first and last dance partner, Kei"

"Why not dance right now? The moon's full and lively."
