Lily opened her eyes to nothing but the smell of dust and blood. She felt light-headed. Everything was dark. She was having difficulty breathing. With all that, it took her a little while to fully connect the dots and realize that she was trapped underneath the remains of a building. She shut her eyes and concentrated hard on lifting the debris. It hurt to use her gift, but she had to. She couldn't let herself die. She couldn't leave Lysander behind.

She suddenly felt gentle hands gather her up. Too small and smooth to be Lysander's she opened her eyes. Riley looked down at her.

"Don't worry. You'll be alright. We just have to get back to the subway." she ran off, carrying Lily tightly in her arms.

Riley started to descend into the subway station when Lily felt an exchange of hands. She looked up, thinking it was Lysander, but it wasn't. Lorcan carried her over to a spot of the platform he'd cleared, placed her gently on the ground, and swiftly moved his hands over her. She felt her ribs crack back to normal, which made Lily hold her breath. Pretty soon, she was perfectly fine. It didn't hurt to move or breath anymore.

Lorcan held out his hand to help her up. Lily smiled and got to her feet. Patting his shoulder, she looked around. Lysander wasn't back. Neither were Erika, James, Albus, or Teddy. Riley walked up to her and placed her hands on Lily's shoulders soothingly.

"Erika checked in with Teddy and James. They're out looking for everyone else." Riley said.

Lily looked up, "Lysander and Albus-?"

"Lysander's okay. I promise you. Albus-" she looked at the floor, "-I'm ashamed to say my gift is acting up. I can't sense Al."

"What about the Avengers?" Lily asked.

Nothing was said when they heard a stone crumble down a pile of rubble. Banner pushed his way through it, wearing nothing but a tattered pair of pants. He looked incredibly freaked out.

"I don't know what happened, but I remember fighting alongside the others then BAM!" he started rambling, slamming his right hand into his left, "Everyone but me is gone!"

Lily looked at Riley. Riley shook her head, "No. If that happened to Albus or Lysander, I'd know." she looked down at Lily in response to something she heard, "Okay! So, I'm not confident where your damn brother is!" leaning down at her, "I do know this! Albus is somewhere where he doesn't WANT to be found!"

Lily looked at the floor before they heard someone land on the subway stairs. Erika walked down them with Lysander clutching at his arm. Lorcan ran up and waved his hand over Lysander's shoulder. Lysander stretched his arm when he saw Lily. He ran toward and pressed his lips to hers.

Leaning his forehead into hers, he sighed with relief, "I thought you were dead!"

Lily shook her head and wrapped her arms around him, "I'll never do that to you as long you promise the same." she whispered in his ear.

Lysander nodded in agreement, whispering, "Promise. Cross my heart, hope to-" he cut himself off before altering the ending with "-fly."

Lorcan cleared his throat. Lily and Lysander broke apart as they remembered they weren't alone. Lorcan, Erika, and Riley stood staring at them. Banner was watching awkwardly from the tracks.

"Sorry to break up this moment, but we've got bigger fish to fry." Lorcan stated.

Erika and Riley nodded in agreement. At that exact moment, almost on cue, James and Teddy clambered down the stairs.

"Hey! We didn't find them, but I will tell you-" James trailed off when he spotted Lysander and Lily, "Oh. Hey, Ly."

Teddy kicked James in the ankle, which made him remember what they were going to tell them, "We found one of the Avengers."

Banner moved forward, "Tony?"

Tony sighed, "So, my tower's destroyed. You and I are the only ones left. And we have to help these weird kids fight an angry Greek god."

Lily looked at Tony and jerked her head to the left, throwing him into a wall. She walked up to him, "We may be kids, but you're the Avengers. We came to you for your help, and you've been nothing but rude and dismissive."

Tony crossed his arms and leaned down to meet Lily's eye, "Maybe because I have more important things to worry about than some teenager losing some special gifts."

Lily hated when people looked at her like that, so she didn't the only thing she thought was necessary. She pinched his nose and shoved him to the ground. She scowled.

"Lysander may have super strength, but I'm worse." she backed away, "Don't cross me."
