At Team Rocket's Underground Base
(3rd Person POV)

Jessie, James, and Meowth entered Giovanni's dark, menacing office, kneeling before their boss.

"W-we're s-sorry, boss," Meowth stammered nervously. "The twerps and their Pikachu were too strong, and—" Giovanni silenced him with a sharp slam of his hand on the desk.

"FOOLS!" he roared, rising from his seat. "You've been trying to catch that damn Pikachu for years!" The trio cowered as Giovanni paced around them.

"It's time to move on to new and better things. Speaking of which..." He turned back to them, his imposing glare drilling into their fear-stricken faces. "I have a new mission for you—and all of Team Rocket's grunts, for that matter."

All three perked up in shock. "A new mission, sir?" Jessie asked cautiously. Giovanni's dark eyes glinted. "Do you know of the ultimate weapon?" The mention caused their jaws to drop.

"Isn't that the weapon from the war four years ago?" Jessie asked.

"Yeah, but didn't it fail?" James added, the trio now visibly confused. "Yes, it did," Giovanni said with a sneer. "But only because it was missing three critical components: the legendary Pokémon Xerneas and Yveltal, and the mythical Diancie."

The room fell silent, save for the tension rising between Giovanni and his subordinates. "So... would you like us to go fetch them for you?" Jessie ventured tentatively. Giovanni let out a cold, mocking laugh.

"Hell no. If you three can't even catch a Pikachu from that brat and his friends, why the hell would I let you attempt to capture a legendary Pokémon?" The trio wilted under his words, guilt spreading across their faces as beads of sweat formed.

"That's why I'm giving you one simple order: DO NOT ENGAGE. If I hear that you disobeyed me..." His voice dropped to an ominous growl. "I'll have all three of you kicked out of Team Rocket."

Jessie, James, and Meowth all nodded furiously before scrambling out of the office, crying as they fled. "Those idiots..." Giovanni muttered, rolling his eyes as he sank back into his chair. From the shadows behind him, a voice chuckled lowly. "If I may butt in, why didn't you tell them about our partnership?"

Giovanni didn't turn to acknowledge the voice. "The less they know, the less they'll want to meddle," he said coldly, running a hand through his hair. The figure stepped forward, revealing itself as Lysandre, leader of Team Flare. "Well, with Team Rocket and Team Flare working together, the world will be in the palm of our hands," Lysandre said, his harsh voice echoing in the room.

Giovanni smirked, his expression unreadable. "Heh... I suppose you're right, Lysandre."

With Sakura

As the sun rose over the bustling Santalune City, its golden rays spilled into the rooms of our heroes. Ash lay peacefully in his bed, Pikachu curled up snugly on his chest. In the adjoining room, Sakura stirred, her Poppilo perched on the windowsill, gazing outside with a pensive expression.

"Popp... Popplio...; I wanna.." Popplio chirped softly, tilting his head as Sakura stretched and rubbed her eyes.

She shuffled over, gently patting the top of Popplio's head. "You're eager to get out there and perform, aren't you?" She turned to her trainer and gave a determined nod. Suddenly, her other Pokémon—Cinderace, Lucario, and Gardevoir—popped out of their Pokéballs, each one expressing their agreement.

"You all want to perform too, huh?" Sakura said with a smile as the group nodded enthusiastically. She sighed, flopping back onto her bed. "I've been thinking about it too, but... I'm nervous. What if I mess up in front of everyone?"
