"Um... hi- uh this is Wallace..."
"Wallace?"
"Uh yeah, we met at a dorm party yesterday, if it helps my nickname is Wall-"
She giggles, shifts sound over the phone before she speaks again, "Ah the man fitting of his name, what is the honor? And here I thought you didn't like me."
"Um.. I know we didn't talk a lot but can you- can you do me a favor? Please."
"Sure! What is it, pumpkin?"
"Can...can you... be my datetoaclubsoicanhangoutwith mycru-"
"H-huh hold on now... can I do what?"
Wallace looks around slowly, lowering his voice to a whisper holding the phone closer to his mouth, "Um.. can you... be my date to a club so I can hang out with my crush.."
Bella giggles lightly, putting on a teasing tone, "So a special girl won you over, huh?"
"Yeah- a special girl."
"Fine, pick me up at eight?"
"Yeah, um- what about-"
The phone hangs up before he could get an address, he facepalms groaning. His phone buzzes, lighting up a new message from the number he just called with an address. He quickly puts the number under 'Bella' and rushes to get dressed for the night. He puts on black skinny jeans and a dorky t-shirt, he walks into the living room.
Wallace finds Joyce in baggy blue jeans, a nice blacktop that shows off his muscles. Wallace's face starts to burn, as his eyes slowly trace over Joyce's toned body. "Hey Wall, all ready buddy?"
Wallace breaks out of his trance looking at his best friend blushing dark, "uh you okay bud? Are you feeling sick?"
"No sorry, just spaced, I actually have to pick up my date." He awkwardly flashes the address at Joyce who agrees, and they leave for the car. They soon make it to Bella's, she comes out in a knee-length dress, her hair a new color, red it was curled to be shorter than when he first saw her. Her heels click against the concrete as she walks to the car.
Joyce nudges Wallace's shoulder whispering, "You didn't tell me you got a hot goth Chick."
Wallace awkwardly laughs, "Yeah, who knew..."
"Hey Wall~ this must be the friend you were looking for, I'm Bella." She puts out her hand. Joyce leans back to shake hers smiling, "Joyce."
"So are we ready..."
"Um actually, we have to pick up Opal, if that's okay?"
Wallace gives a sad smile and drives off in the direction of Opal's dorm. She walks out in a dark blue dress that barely covers her thighs and knee-high black boots. Her hair was tied back in a done-up bun, her bangs wrapped around her face like a heart. She jumps in the back making a grossed out face when she sees Bella and that Joyce is sitting up front with Wallace, "Um hi~"
The sweet voice she put on made Wallace sickly, why is she faking you can tell how she feels just by her face. They drove off towards the club but the overwhelming silence in the car hurt. Bella tries to focus on her phone or out the window, Opal is sending glares into the back of Wallace's head. Joyce looks over at the two then puts on music playing his "party playlist".
The first song to play was 'party rock'. Wallace watches as his best friend sings along dancing side to side in his seat. He looks through his mirror to the back to see Bella slightly dancing, looking up from her phone every so often to watch Joyce. She was softly giggling to herself at the amusement. The only person not having fun in the car was Opal.
