The group of teenagers sat at their usual lunch table and watched as people walked up to her locker and placed flowers and notes.Since she's been gone people have come up and hugged Beyoncé not knowing she was a reason why she was gone.
She felt guilty. Guilty because someone took their life because of her. Guilty because she hurt that person. Guilty because she broke promises. Guilty because every night since the incident Nicki has been staying over at Beyoncé's house crying on her shoulder, reminiscing, and thanking Beyoncé for being so good to her and her sister.
It made Beyoncé sick to her stomach knowing she lied, hurt Nicki, and went behind her back.
"I can't stand watching people who didn't even talk to her try to tell me she wants me to be happy," Nicki said in annoyance rolling her eyes, still staring at people who place flowers on her locker.
"She wouldn't want you to be moping through nick, try to cheer up," Darwin said calmly rubbing Nicki's back but Nicki smacked her handoff.
"Stop talking to me like you care." That made everyone at the table look up at them. The friend group knew that Darwin and Nicki were going through issues but based on Nicki's tone it was worse than what they thought.
Before they can get into an argument Beyoncé stopped them, "guys just stop ok not right here now"
That's all it took for them to stop arguing. They just turned away from each other after that and never spoke for the rest of lunch it felt like the world was dead like everything around them is dying and moving in slow motion. They didn't know how to feel. I mean how would you feel if somebody cared about died and left you a letter about how you did them so wrong and you're a reason that they're gone.
Beyoncé wondered if anybody else had a letter as well. She knew she couldn't be the only one that caused trauma in her life. I mean she probably could've but she didn't want to believe she did. she didn't want to believe that she was the only issue, she wanted someone else to feel the pressure she felt.
"I thought she was happy," whispered Nicole in a hushed tone. Anyone, around them, couldn't hear it but the friend group definitely could. They turned to look at her not knowing what to say because they all thought the same thing that Y/n was happy. In other words, they thought she wasn't onto their secrets and the lies that they hid from her, the betrayal. They thought they could keep living in a perfect fantasy but little did they know they're fantasy is just beginning to crack.
daft. This might be a book.
