Ø We are not meant to remain as children (Ephesian’s 4:14)

Gusto ni god na lumago tayo , he wants us to be fully develop and have all his characteristics BUT sadly to say not all of us oo tumatanda pero hindi tayo na dedevelop . na stuck tayo sa spiritual basics na alam natin and most of us stop in sprititual infancy . why ? the reason is they not or never intended to grow .
Ispiritual growth is not automatic. It takes an INTENSIONAL COMMITMENT .kinakailanagan nating gustohin na lumago, decide to grow, make an effort to grow, at mag patuloy na lumago.
So pano tayo mag uumpisa? Una sa lahat , kailngan nating mag desisyon . COME BE MY DECIPLE JESUS SAID TO HIM, SO MATHEW GOT UP AND FOLLOWED HIM. When the first disciples chose to follow jesus, they didn’t understand all the implication for their decision they simple response to jesus invitation . yan ang kailangan natin pra makapag simula na maging isa sa mga disciples ni god ang mag DECIDE .
NOTHING SHAPES YOUR LIFE MORE THAN THE COMMITMENT YOU CHOOSE TO MAKE. Yung commitment na meron ka maaaring siraan ka or I develop ka . but , either way they will define you. Diba nga may kasabihan TELL ME WHAT YOU COMMITTED TO, AND I ILL TELL WHAT YOU WILL BE AFTER TWENTY YEARS. We become what we committed to.
Many are afraid to commit to anything and minsan hinahayaan nalang nila na sumabay sa agos , others make half hearted commitments which leads to frustration. Yung iba 100 percent ang pag commit nila para saan ? sa pagiging mayaman at pagiging famous. Lahat ng mga bagay na napag desisyonan natin ay may mga consequence , so we better to choose wisely . kung tama ang napag desisyonan natin malamang tama rin ang resulta. Sabi ni paul , SINCE EVERYTHING AROUND US IS GOING TO MELT AWAY , WHAT HOLY, GODLY LIVES SHOULD BE LIVING.

Christlikeness is the result of making Christ like and depending on his spirit to help us fulfill our choices. At kapag naging seyoso na tayo to be coming like Christ we should act in new ways , let go of the past and develop a new habits,and INTENSIONALY change the way you think. At asahan mo na tutulungan ka ni god sa mga bagay bagay. CONTINUE TO WORK OUT YOUR SALVATION WITH FEAR AND TREMBLING FOR IT IS GOD WHO WORKS IN YOU TO WILL AND TO ACT ACCORDING TO HIS GOOD PURPOSE. Sa verse na to may dalawang part. Work out and work in , the first on is yours while the rest is gods role. This verse ay isinulat para sa mga mananampalataya at sa mga naniniwala , this verse is not about how to be saved but how to grow , it does not say WORK FOR your salvation . like during a physical “workout” you exercise to develop your body not to get a body right ?
>CHANGING YOUR AUTOPILOT ,
The first step to change your life is to change the way you think . lahat ng mga bagay na ginagawa natin ay may dahilan , sabi sa bible , BE CAREFUL HOW YOU THINK , YOUR LIFE IS SHAPE BY YOUR THOUGHTS .
Imagine natin na nakasakay tayo sa speedboat asa lake tayo , at naka auto pilot to papunta sa east , e nag decide tayo na pumuntang west , wala tayong choice kundi hilain ung manibela at ipunta sa west , By sheer willpower we could overcome the autopilot, pero makakaramdam tayo ng pagod , sakit sa braso, at hindi rin mag tatagal bibitawan natin to at dahil nga naka program yung boat sa east sa east na punta neto .
Ito ang mangyayare , kapag sinubukan nating baguhin an gating buhay sa papamagitan ng ating willpower , oo , willpower can produce short-term-changes. The change doest feel naturally so evebtually you give up right? Go off diet and quit exercising why ? because you find it un naturally so babalik ka sa dati , buhay hayahay !
There is a better and easier way , change your auto pilot , not by your will but let god , transform you and change the way you think. Ang unang step ay baguhin ang paraan ng iyong pag iisip , ang pag Papago ay laging nag uumpisa sa ating isip, kung anong iniisip mo determines how you feel at lalabas ito sa mga ginagawa mo. Paul said , THERE MUST BE A SPIRITUAL RENEWAL OF YOUR THOUHTS AND ATTITUDES.
To be like jesus not in literally way we must develop the mind of Christ , the new testament call this mental shift as REPENTANCE which in greek literally means to change your mind .
We are commanded to THINK THE SAME WAY THAT CHRIST JESUS THOUGHT there are two part . first , stop thinking immature thoughts which are self center and self seeking thoughts.
Sabi sa bible , stop thinking like children, in regard to evil be infants but in your thinking be adults. Lie babies , mga bata . ano baa ng nature nila ? diba di sila nakakapag bigay ng mga bagay , receive lang silang recive . padedeen mo benefits nila yon pero inreturn makaka dede ba atyo sa kanila ? or mapapa dede ba tayo nila ? diba hindi . ganon .
The second one is thinking like jesus , like think maturely , which not only on your self but also in others . sabi nanaman ni paul , thinking of others is the mark of maturarity “WHEN I WAS A CHILD , I TALK LIKE A CHILD, I THOUGHT LIKE A CHILD , I REASON LIKE A CHILD, HEN I BECAME A MAN I PUT ALL CHILDISH WAYS BEHIND ME .
Ang pagiging kristyano ay hindi relihiyon natin hindi rin isang paniniwala but a relationship ang a lifestyle the core of that lifestyle is thinging others as jesus did . instead of ourelves . the bible say , e should think of their good , and try to help them by doing what pleases them , even Christ not try to please himself .
Ang pag iisip sa kapakanan ng iba ay isang ibendesya ng ispiritual growth natin pero an pag iisip ng ganto ay napaka hirapp , kukunti lang diba ? pero meron tayong help from above .
