Ivy frowns at the name. Of course she knows about the famous family of the country. The Santiago. Santiago's are everything that a normal person could never even imagine to. They are wild, scary filled with utmost proud. There are many things and rumours she has heard about them but her small brain does not have the tendency to store every information and ill deeds done by them.
Suddenly the door of diner opens and Eliza steps out. Another tall scary male steps outside. Ivy gulps just at the sight of him. He is wearing an expensive three piece black suit and he also has those scary tattoos and gold rings in his fingers. All in all this person looks like a tattoo model. Nobody can tell that this man is 50 years old. His physique is just well built. Ivy tightly clutches the handle of her bike 'Coco' as he casually moves past her.
"Uh-oh excuse me Mister...." Ivy manages to squeak out.
Lucifer Santiago pauses in his steps. Eliza glares at Ivy who pouts refusing to look in his direction. Her attention is solely fixed on his boss.
Trembling in fear and anxiousness, Ivy takes few fast steps towards him. Lucifer Santiago looks down at her. Her 4'10 frame in compare with his giant 6'8 height does not do any justice.
"Yes." Even his voice is so deep and blank in compare with Ivy's squeaky tone.
"Uhh umm you see you did so wrong." Lucifer quirks his brow at her words. Ivy takes it as her sign to continue.
"Because of you I won't be able to work now. If I don't work, I won't be able to save up money to move out as I am turning 18. I won't be able to help Gre--" Eliza impatiently cuts her rambling off.
"Shut u--" But Eliza himself was cut off by Lucifer.
"What is your name?" He asks her. Eliza zips his lips shut whereas his partner just stares at Ivy and Lucifer's interaction just like other bodyguards.
"Ivy."
"Full name."
"Just Ivy." She tells him.
"Well Ivy! You see that I don't really care of what I did to you. I don't really feel any kind of remorse of anything I do wrong." Lucifer Santiago tells her and moves past her.
"Better go search for another job instead of crying. It's pathetic, Ivy!" He states before sliding in his limo.
Eliza holds a chuckle back whereas his friend stares at her with slight sympathy in his eyes before sliding in another black car. They blurs past the street with high speed.
Tears rolls down Ivy's cheeks and a small trembling sob slips past her lips.
"No no no Ivy! Don't cry. You have got this. Everything always happens for a good reason." Crying, she mumbles to herself and wipes her tears away. Swallowing the sobs is always the hard task but Ivy calms herself down just like every time. She shouldn't be feeling sad.
Finding the new job is a hard task, even more harder than she can ever imagine. After getting rejected from three stores and diners. She finally got a job at library. The pay isn't much but it is better than nothing.
"Ivy!" Ivy rushes downstairs after hearing Greta's voice.
"This letter came on your name this morning." She handed her a nice looking envelope. She opens it and unfold the piece of paper. Her eyes widens as she read through it.
"What happened, Ivy?" Greta asks worried as the paper dramatically slips down from Ivy's hands. Ivy looks up at Greta's face and suddenly a large smile appears on her features.
"I got transfer."
"What?" Greta asks in confusion.
"I GOT TRANSFER TO STATE'S FAMOUS PRIVATE SCHOOL!"
