“I am sorry”

AURORA ARGENT WOKE UP WITH AN ANNOYING LIGHT ABOVE HER HEAD. she had no idea where she was or how she got there. until a voice snapped her from her thoughts and she remembered everything that happened. “thank god you are okay.” adelle told her older sister with relief. while aurora just squeezed the girl's hand.

“how long have I been here?” aurora asked quietly while rubbing her eyes.

"three days.” adelle said quietly then Chris walked in and had a soft smile on his face seeing that she was finally awake.

“hey rue, I'm gonna see when we can take you home.” adelle said awkwardly and left not waiting for aurora to reply.

“how are you feeling?” Chris asked his eldest daughter softly and she raised her eyebrows at him confused.

“like I was shot” aurora replied bluntly and Chris could not help but let out a little chuckle at how she was still the same as she was younger.

“why did not you tell me?” Chris asked her quietly but she just raised her eyebrows at him.

“i am talking about the fire, you could have told me.” Chris said quietly but all aurora did was just try to stand up.

she almost fell but quickly balanced herself. “you only believe what you want.” aurora said quietly and went to walk towards the bathroom.

“i-I am sorry.” Chris said but aurora looked at him emotionless. “I am sorry for not thinking about how you felt about the fire, for not trying to call you at all since you left.” Chris said quietly and aurora stood there stunned.

“you mean when you sent me away? because I was too much of a burden for you” aurora said at first quietly then her voice turned harsh.

Chris looked at her knowing that she was right. he knew it was selfish, and he always hated himself for being selfish with aurora. because while aurora seemed to be the most delicate one out of her sistersʼ in chrisʼ eyes when she was younger. he still was selfish and sent her away.

and for that, aurora became cold, harsh but mostly heartless.

if you really knew aurora like how her therapist or adelle did. you would know how she was living. she was not living at all.

she was just surviving.

“Peter killed kate” Chris said changing the subject.

Aurora looked at him with boredom on her face. “good.” aurora spitted out and Chris nodded not arguing about her manners.

“and Derek killed Peter.” Chris said but this time his face and voice became softer.

he could see the pain in her eyes. he even went to comfort her but aurora took a step back when she saw him walking towards her.

“someone had to do it bunny” Chris said softly trying to comfort her but she just glared at him.

“no one should have! the one person who should have died was Kate. he was not a villan, she will always be a villan.” aurora said quietly and turned her back and went to the bathroom.

aurora stood there staring at herself with so much grief and anger. but mostly, she stared at herself with hatred.

because maybe Kate was right. maybe aurora was the reason everyone around her died. maybe she was the one who killed her grandmother, talia and Peter along with every other hale that died in the fire.

maybe it was auroraʼs fault not kateʼs.

I know it is a really short chapter and took too much time but I am trying to find a better plot twist than the previous season.

I promise this one will end way better that season one!
