Quinn Chase - school counsellor: "What brings you to my office Logan?"
Logan Desa - student: "I don't know. I'm just been so conflicted. How did no one notice that Nick was suffering. He was such a happy person."
Quinn: "A lot of times, the signs for depression are not as clear as we wish they would be."
Logan: "But you don't understand. He never showed any signs of depression. Adrianna has medically diagnosed depression. I was really close to Annette when she was really suicidal and was in the the hospital for months. Even fucking Jake showed signs for mild depression, and I was the one who got him to get help. How did I not notice?"
Quinn: "You should've blame yourself, none of what happened is your fault."
Logan: "But I should've know. He was one of my good friends. He never showed any sign of depression. No lowering of self esteem, no decrease in grades, no increase or decrease of sleeping hours. Dammit it's not like he was cutting and we didn't notice. I just don't understand."
Quinn: "Logan, it's not your responsibility to take care of everyone. I know you may think his death is partially your fault, but it wasn't your responsibility to get him help."
Logan: "But dammit Ms.Chase! [Logan starts crying] One of my best friends is fucking dead! This is something that could've been prevented! It is my fucking responsibility to take care of the people I care about! I don't understand! Why didn't he tell anyone?"
[Logan breaks down and session ends]
